00:00It's a special night here at Maidstone's Gallagher Stadium, as this match is about giving the gift of football to
00:09the students of Five Acre Wood.
00:11This is Heather Henry, and in tonight's match, it's Five Acre Wood School versus the staff and volunteers of Stones
00:20in the Community and Maidstone United Football Club.
00:24Who's going to win? Let's find out.
00:27The goal here isn't glory, but raising money so that Five Acre Wood members can enjoy the beautiful game, many
00:37of whom have severe and complex learning difficulties.
00:42Yeah, very important and rewarding. The sessions are so important for our young people. It brings the community together, it
00:50gives them life experience, and obviously, well, more importantly, they absolutely love it.
00:55Yeah, 100%, so we love having a runaround. It's all for the pupils. Every single one of us here today
01:00is doing it for the children. We want to give them the best that we can, but we do enjoy
01:06having a runaround, especially on a lovely evening like tonight as well.
01:09It was an exciting back and forth, but the Stones were victorious this year, winning 11-7.
01:17This event proves that Five Acre Wood and the Maidstone community want to keep the football sessions for students going
01:28full-time.
01:29Isn't it brilliant just having so many people here celebrating not only football, but actually raising money, and it's actually
01:38awareness as well, isn't it?
01:39It's awareness for 10 children, 10 young adults, and just bringing everybody together. It's about being part of a community,
01:46isn't it?
01:46Henry Luck, for Kane TV, in Maidstone.
