00:00For San Antonio, 3 a.m. at a diner, Anne-Marie Horton tried to get over the hangover.
00:07Joining us now with Rebecca Patterson in studio is Anne-Marie Horton, who is, yeah, doing a seminar in Houston.
00:15My mom is. I brought news in Houston.
00:18Can you get me tickets to San Antonio? I'll take an Uber.
00:22How did you get from Houston to San Antonio?
00:25A friend drove me.
00:27Your friend drove me?
00:27Yeah, so a friend saw that I was in Houston, also saw I was at game three with the president
00:32and said,
00:32I'm going to game five. Why don't you come?
00:35And I made a game time decision Saturday morning.
00:38And I was like, you know what? Like, I'm so close.
00:40Were you sitting with Prince Harry?
00:42I was not sitting with Prince Harry. Oh, yeah, you texted me.
00:44I saw him. I saw Spike Lee. I was sitting more by Patrick Ewing, which was pretty amazing.
00:49But did he block your view?
00:50He did not block my view. He was actually behind me.
00:53So I will say San Antonio was the sixth borough on Saturday night.
00:59It was really had to be 50 percent, maybe 75 percent New York Knick fans.
01:04And the first quarter or two, obviously, we were behind.
01:07But we've been there before. And it was a little a little intense.
01:12And then Jalen Brunson does what he does.
01:13This team works together so well.
01:15And they clinched it. It was incredible.
01:17You have to call him my Jalen.
01:19Mrs. Keene is calling my Jalen this week.
01:22My Jalen.
01:23I've got to ask, what was in the arena, the energy that was not captured for America on TV?
01:31I think what was not captured was the moment you realized they were about to become champions after 53 years,
01:40there was literally tears from New Yorkers and their faces, grown men just absolutely crying.
01:47One guy next to me was a New Yorker, stayed for the whole thing, moved to San Antonio in 1994.
01:54So he was technically there supporting the Spurs.
01:56But even he was emotional.
01:58And he said, this is pretty bittersweet for me.
02:00For our fans on radio, I just have to highlight the outfits that are in the studio here.
02:04Rebecca Patterson, New York Knick orange, head to toe.
02:08Fantastic.
02:09Ann Marie Horton comes in, got the blue.
02:11The whole thing going.
02:12And the time's got the bling.
02:14I didn't know Tom, I thought you were a Celtics fan.
02:18Well, we're all Knick fans today.
02:20Yes.
02:21It's upset that I just sold him out.
02:23Who writes the paycheck?
