00:00Exfoliators shouldn't be used as a second cleanse.
00:03It should really be a cleansing oil to break up makeup,
00:06followed by a gentle water-based cleanser,
00:08like a gel cleanser, to remove remaining dirt and whatnot.
00:11But whatever works for her, I guess, she's gorgeous.
00:13I don't agree with this.
00:15It depends on the exfoliator.
00:17So if you're wearing really heavy makeup,
00:19an exfoliator is not going to be able to exfoliate the skin.
00:22And why are we using exfoliators?
00:23We want them to remove the dead skin, of course,
00:26to remove dirt, oil, and debris, but they're usually more
00:28effective at removing dead skin.
00:30And we want to first remove that barrier.
00:32So if you're using a makeup that's heavy,
00:35I'd prefer that you use an oil cleanser,
00:37or whatever cleanser you're using to remove your makeup,
00:39and then use the appropriate exfoliant afterwards.
