02:52he came from the uk tryout jamie garcia a lot of bad habits coming from the independence
02:57scene but he's someone that we're trying to get a little bit more toughness in his work
03:02against chris island uh chris is a veteran of lfg and i still don't know who he is in the
03:09ring
03:10he's on the bubble had a match versus tate a few episodes ago
03:19he just came out and screamed the entire time and didn't really show me much uh i'm not looking
03:24for a character more than i am a personality that i could bite into right here like it
03:28garcia he looks like more of a baby face right absolutely okay and you said you just want him
03:33to be a little bit more gritty a little bit more gritty yeah very bendy yep gumby-esque in his
03:38movements gumby-esque but there are times that it looks better when you're a little bit rigid
03:42got it i mean i've as someone who also came from the indies who has talked to sean a bunch

03:47sometimes what you do looks so pretty it needs to get a little more gritty a little dirty a little
03:52more believable so i totally understand that a little less bendy a little less bendy

07:14today gonna be honest i have a soft spot for people that come from the indies like i'm probably
07:18biased in that realm uh just because i went through that down that same path and i understand
07:23how it is i think for you they wanted just to show a little bit more grittiness
07:28yeah like and like dirty it up a little bit the neck will let you like organically dirty that up
07:33because you have to organically like fight dig a little bit more and fight for marines a little
07:37bit more i want to ask so many questions i want to get into that brain just these kind of
07:43people who've
07:43who've been in your shoes who've done and not only done they have excelled at what you're trying to

09:19i think we're gonna learn a lot about these two men in this matchup which may just may set up
09:26their future and i say that because chris island was on lfg season one was on lfg season

09:47here for quite some time on lfg frustration has to be building doubt has to be creeping in
09:52there's got to be so many different emotions we don't know about going through this man's mind
09:58that it's right now in his eyes he can't fail and he's going up a guy in garcia who's wide

10:05bushy-tailed so to speak knowing what kind of opportunity this is this is contrasting
10:10individuals contrasting styles that makes for a massive match of kicking us off here on lfg
10:14well we have an opportunity to see jimmy garcia for the first time and let me just tell you
10:20the madrid spain native is a world champion freestyle wrestler you're seeing that kicking
10:28at the ankle and if you're counting this on points here's some in the audience they're
10:32already starting to do it racking them up and you're seeing some of that amateur background
10:36early on and look chris island right now that might be a very wise move by island to get out

10:41the way kind of think islands wonder what he's in the ring when not often island gets out wrestled
10:45when it comes to the ground wrestling aspect of this game he wrestled at california baptist
10:50university but when you have a guy like highmate he wrestled a match 63 minute long match with
10:55leon slater if you can believe that so the guy gets conditioning as well
11:02garcia showing you that speed that quickness that elusiveness flying through the air with
11:06ease into the cover hook the leg and a kick out this is the referee hit one i go back

12:24out and that smile that was on garcia's face at the start of this has certainly been almost slacked

12:34at a very quick time he found out what it's like to be in the ring with chris island and
12:39he's just
12:39looking to hang on at this point it's almost like an uneasy tension in here right now in lfg because
12:44people are seeing chris island who came out in the first first match ever was happy to be here you've
12:50seen him over time get more angry and angry into the cover hook of the leg and a kick out

12:55here right now having his way physically against his opponent we have never seen chris island i don't
13:01believe this vicious in the ring he knows that it's time to show something different we've seen what
13:07he's done through the course of season one season two did okay didn't do great
13:17you talk about how global how the reach is for those that want to be part of the wwe how
13:25far this company how far wwe is willing to go in order to find the very best athletes and wrestlers

13:32part of this program lfg well they are talent scouts combing the
13:41combing the planet looking for the next big superstar and certainly when you talk about
13:49garcia oh wow when you go even deeper you start thinking about triple a what's going on down there
13:56what's going on around the world garcia right now has an opportunity to achieve all of his dreams
14:02here in one matchup one moment can he impress sean michaels can he pick up a victory nonetheless
14:08against someone like chris island this certainly be a monumental moment for garcia all the way from
14:14spain delivering that kick with a little extra um i don't know if he slipped going in you gotta wonder
14:23where his legs are at right now not at 100 but now hoisting up well changed my perception his legs
14:29certainly looked at 100 able to hoist up chris island into the cover hook of the leg and great
14:35job by our officials seeing the foot on the bottom rope but also give credit to chris island having
14:41the presence of mind the ring awareness is so important when you're a guy like chris island able
14:46to save himself by extending that leg and breaking the three times trying to see exactly what

16:40fighting through all the adversities i'll give you guys the same advice that i told the other guys like
16:46this place like there's going to be a lot of opinions and a lot of thoughts on who you are

16:51one who knows who you are like what i watched out there you have all the potential in the world

19:22wanted nathaniel to be more vicious more gritty so i i kind of centered on that like ground and pound
19:27and just show like now it's just there's nothing pretty you know what i mean you're just
19:32beating the out of them and you just have to make it so people can believe that oh this guy
19:35you know yeah you're fancy whatever however you present yourself you're you know sophisticated all
19:41this but you've got a dirty side and gritty side like it's so it sounds so simple dude but it's
19:46not
19:46as simple to make it look natural so i wanted to use the ref because obviously as a heel you

19:53want to do underhanded tactics throughout so he uh he really helped me kind of apply the concept that
20:00i wanted to do so like if you're just doing your job and he's and he's standing up and you're

20:04once you feel like he's behind you like what the you're trying to get out of the way because he's

35:08laziness pays off now and both of these women train very hard here at the performance center
