10:20I went to the nursery to show Miss Hooley

10:37He thought I should make a pirate ship
10:39And showed me a book full of fantastic pirate pictures

16:00Well, today was a special day because it's my birthday.
16:06I arrived at the nursery this morning to find a lovely birthday card from PC Plum.
16:12Then Spencer popped in to show me the cut-out boat he was making for the nursery wall.
16:17He wanted some tips on the size and shape of the sails for his boat.
16:21He'd obviously forgotten it was my birthday.
16:24But I tried not to look too hurt and suggested he go to see PC Plum instead.
16:29Who's mad about sailing?
16:32PC Plum thought Spencer could make a pirate ship and showed him a picture book to get ideas.
16:38Then PC Plum explained why I seemed a little fed up.
16:42It's my birthday.
16:44And Spencer had forgotten all about it.
16:47So, they decided to throw a party to cheer me up.
16:50A pirate party.
16:53Archie agreed to help and he and Spencer set to work making pirate costumes, scarves and hats.
17:02Later Spencer returned to the nursery with his finished ship and told me to close my eyes
17:07and get ready for a surprise.
17:10When I opened them, I saw the fantastic pirate ship he'd made for the wall.
17:15And there was Archie and PC Plum and all the children dressed up as pirates.
17:21They all wished me a happy birthday and we had a fabulous pirate party.
17:29They had remembered my birthday after all.
17:33And do you know what?
17:34It was the best birthday surprise ever.
