01:11For people who left the city because they couldn't afford to stay here anymore for those who fight every day
01:19tooth and nail just to live in this expensive city because they love it so much.
01:24For those that may have moved a long time ago but never lost their love for the Knicks, for the
01:31family members that aren't with us,
01:32for the people that may have moved away, that you called last night, the first person you called last night,
01:40the one thing that's never changed, slices of pizza have gone up, the price of the MTA has gone up,
01:47going to a Knicks game has gone up, but the one thing that hasn't changed is our love for the

01:55our pride in this city, and last night was a special moment,
02:01not just in sports, but for a city that continuously ends up being the end of somebody's joke,
02:09the butt end of somebody's joke, that everyone loves to rag on us,
02:12they hate us because they can't be us,
02:15they tell us we're obnoxious because we love our city, we love our team.
02:19That was what last night meant.
02:22For all the doubters, told us that Jalen Brunson couldn't be the 1A,
02:27that Jalen Brunson was too small, that Carlton Towns wasn't tough enough,
02:32that Mikael Bridges wasn't worth the picks,
02:35to a guy like Jose Alvarado that was told he couldn't play in the NBA,
02:42to Mike Brown, who they told us was a bad hire, that the Knicks had no plan,
02:50to Leon Rose, a sports agent that they said had no business running a team,
02:58to all the people who crapped on this team,
03:01to all the kids that got bullied for wearing Knicks shirts,
03:04that got made fun of, and we've all gone through it,
03:07to everyone that had to live through the misery of 19 win and 20 win seasons,
03:12and early playoff exits, and dropping confetti after one playoff win
03:17against the Miami Heat in 2011,
03:20to every one of those moments.
03:23That's what yesterday was.
03:26I think it might have been 2012, but you know what I mean.
03:29That moment was so much more,
03:32and I listened to Joe coming in to hear that guy,
03:35who, yes, has seen a Knicks championship,
03:38but thought he'd never see another one.
03:42To listen to the fans that are like me,
03:44that are in their 30s, in their 40s,
03:47that have never seen a Knicks championship,
03:49to the young kids that get to experience the stress,
03:53but the joy of being a Knicks fan,
03:55yesterday was magical.
03:57And I know there's always bozos in the celebration,
04:00but after me and Tommy did the show at the end of the show,
04:03or Tommy coming in late as the game ended and doing his thing,
04:06but when I left at 12, you know,
04:08after a couple of bottles of champagne were popped,
04:11even in this area, which is pretty dead on the weekends,
04:13you know, we live in a more business area,
04:15not the most residential area in the city.
04:19There were parties here.
04:20And the longer I walked down Spring,
04:22all the way to 5th Ave,
04:24you know, hoping to catch the express bus,
04:25which was naive on some parts of me,
04:29but walking down 5th Ave,
04:31and the amount of people just out and happy,
04:34you know, I hugged a lot of strangers last night.
04:37The high fives, the laughs,
04:40every, it was hilarious,
04:41every taxi that drove by,
04:43I thought was honking at somebody.
04:44They were just honking at the Knicks fans,
04:47hyped up to every person that takes pride in the city,
04:50whether you were born here or not,
04:52and you've bought into this team.
04:55Last night was incredible.
04:58A once-in-a-lifetime experience,
05:01not just for Knicks fans,
05:02obviously most importantly Knicks fans,
05:04but for this city,
05:06the city I love,
05:07the city you love,
05:08everyone loves to crap on this city,
05:10but last night was not the night.
05:14Last night was a sense of pride,
05:16and we are going to have a summer of love,
05:20a summer to remember.
05:23Kick it off Thursday with a beautiful parade
05:27down the Canyons of Heroes
05:30to celebrate this team,
05:32and it's not just about them.
05:33They got the job done,
05:35but there is so much more we are celebrating.
05:38To all the guys who weren't able to get the job done,

05:42to all the guys that we fell in love with,

05:45some great,
05:46some just,
05:47they were our guys.
05:49To every draft pick we traded or botched,
05:52to every player we had to sell ourselves on,
05:55whether it was Clay Anthony earlier,

06:04whoever you want to throw out there,
06:06to every player that we had to sell ourselves on,

06:16this is a celebration.
06:19And there's nowhere I'd rather be
06:21than celebrating it with you guys,

06:25And last night was awesome.
