00:04showed that nearly 1.8 million Colombians overcame monetary poverty in 2025.
00:11According to reports, the national poverty rate reduced from 31.8% in 2024 to 28% last year.
00:20Furthermore, extreme poverty fell 2.1 percentage points to 9.6%,
00:25marking its lowest level for the entire 21st century.
00:30The data also showed that the number of people living in poverty experienced a reduction of 1.79 million people,
00:37while nearly 1 million people left extreme poverty within a single year.
00:41However, regional disparities persist and rural poverty remains 1.6 times higher than in cities.
