00:00Oil prices a year ago for a gallon of gasoline in the United States, in terms of U.S. dollars,
00:06$3.14.
00:08Today, it hovers around $4.06.
00:11And you would think the sky fell in in this country.
00:14There's just zero tolerance.
00:16Of course, gas prices were much, much higher when Joe Biden was president.
00:20But that is the reality, as much as I would like to change it.
00:24The threshold for pain in Iran is much higher, as we know.
00:29We know their currency has plummeted and their ability to even produce enough domestic gasoline for its use is now
00:38at their limits.
00:41And inflation there runs over 88 percent, best in our estimates.
00:45But here's the difference.
00:46We live in a democracy.
00:47They live in a totalitarian state.
00:49And when you live in a democracy, the democracy decides its pain point.
00:54When you live in a bureaucracy or a dictatorship such as this, the leadership is the only one that decides
01:01what the pain point is for itself.
01:03Long way of saying to you, unfortunately, in the United States, the economic issues and the elections matter.
01:08In Iran, they don't.
01:10They matter in Israel as well.
01:12It's a different discussion on Israel.
01:14But in the United States, yes, that is certainly a consideration.
