Making her Philippine Athletics Championships debut, Amanda Javellana of Fil-Am Sports seizes the women's hammer throw national title on June 13, 2026 at the New Clark City Stadium here. Representing the Philippines at the Southeast Asian Games last December, Amanda unleashed a 51.12m throw to rule the event and seize the gold medal. Joana Marie Bandal of the University of Santo Tomas claimed the silver medal with a 43.15m throw, while Shiela Mae Batayo of the University of the East took the bronze with a 43.12m throw.

00:14I competed at SEA Games at SEA Games 2025 in December. I ended up throwing around 51 as well, so
00:23I know that I can prove upon that.
00:26I'm from the States, so I'm from California. So this is my first time performing in the Philippines, but last
00:32time I performed in Thailand for the Philippines.
00:35But back home in California, I compete for Golden State throwers.
00:39I love representing the Philippines. I love coming home to the Philippines. It makes me able to see my family,
00:45makes me able to see my titas and titos, my cousins, my parents' friends as well.
