If you think Grand Theft Auto IV is the most violent video game involving cars and pedestrians in brutal combinations, think again. The sheer amount of blood being splattered on your windshield in GameTek's oppressively dystopian sci-fi title Quarantine (1994) makes Rockstar Games supposedly controversial action games look like a series of law-abiding trips down to the supermarket by comparison.

Aside from such satisfying activities as running over pedestrians and gunning down blood-thirsty grenade-throwing gangsters roaming the chaotic streets of KEMO city, the player's main objective is to pick up passengers (who are every bit as crazy as the rest of the citizens) and drive them to their destinations on time, which - in a city filled with enemies, mines and maze-like blocks - is often more easily said than done...
