00:07Two accusations, one truth social post, and a story that gets stranger the closer you look.
00:15Donald Trump just said Iran is lying about a peace deal, and that Iran attacked Indian
00:21ships in the Strait of Hormuz overnight. Both claims are explosive. One of them might not
00:28even be true. Let's start with the deal. Trump says the terms leaking into international
00:34media have, in his words, nothing to do with the terms that were agreed to in writing. He
00:41called Iran's statements dishonorable, accused Tehran of bad faith, and basically said what
00:48they're telling the world does not match what's on paper. Strong words, but here's the twist.
00:54Iran's foreign ministry actually said something notable yesterday, for the first time, that
01:00the main body of the text has largely been finalized. That's a real movement. Both sides are now
01:07describing progress, even while trading accusations about who's lying about it. Now the second
01:13part, and this is where it gets murky. Trump says Iran launched a drone attack on Indian
01:20ships leaving the Strait of Hormuz, calling it totally unacceptable and warning Iran to
01:26get their act together, and fast. But here's the problem. India's Ministry of External Affairs
01:33just summoned a senior U.S. diplomat, Charge Defeter Jason Meeks, over a completely different
01:39version of events. India is protesting U.S. naval strikes on commercial vessels carrying Indian sailors,
01:47strikes they say killed three Indian crew members this week in the Gulf of Oman. So you've got the
01:54U.S. president blaming Iran for an attack on Indian ships, while India is formally protesting the United
02:01States for an attack on Indian ships. Same region, same victims potentially. Two completely different
02:09stories about who pulled the trigger. Now layer this onto the peace deal. Iran's spokesman didn't confirm
02:16any signing date. He called that media speculation, but did say the real goal right now is ending the
02:23war and opening a 60-day window afterward to deal with the nuclear file, sanctions, and economic issues.
02:31Qatar and Pakistan are reportedly working overtime as mediators between both sides. So diplomacy isn't
02:38dead, but it's happening in the middle of active military incidents. Strikes, drone accusations, dead sailors,
02:46all within the last 72 hours. Trump's message to Iran was simple, get it together, fast. But based on what
02:55India just told Washington, that message might need to go both ways. Diplomacy and military escalation
03:02running in parallel with conflicting casualty narratives in between. We'll keep tracking where this goes.
