00:00you know certainly I think that we're heading into a pretty big game five I don't know it's
00:05like funny like the the assumption seems to be that that the Spurs are going to win this one
00:09and we're just simply going to have a game six do you feel that way or do you think that
00:13there's a
00:13chance this goes the other way no I think this certainly could go the other way I'm you know
00:18you always try and just just see where people are at and what kind of what their expectations are
00:22see you know if there's a public leaning consensus on on a game here and the Spurs are booked as
00:29five
00:29and a half point favorites I feel like there's a lot of Knicks confidence in this game specifically
00:36like of course there's a lot of confidence in the series the only time we had a 3-1 comeback
00:41was
00:41the LeBron James Cavs so you know NBA history suggests this series is over for the second time
00:48because it was also suggested to be over when the Knicks took the 2-0 series lead and obviously at
00:55halftime a game four it probably felt over in a different direction than you know it actually
01:01now feels I think the Knicks still do feel due for a really good full game and I can't shake
01:15that
01:15they've been able to absolutely massacre their opponent with closeout opportunities on the table
01:23but we're talking about 40 point victories you know with Atlanta Philly and Cleveland and I wonder
01:29if some of that is where the traveling New York crowd comes into play and I don't think it's Spurs
01:36fans fault I don't even know if it's necessarily that oh Knicks fans are the best fans in basketball
01:42it's that it costs half the price to fly to San Antonio get in the building to potentially watch your
01:51team clinch a championship than it does to like sniff Madison Square Garden and I think that's
01:57like part of it is there's like I think a shock for everybody involved when you're five minutes into
02:02the game and it does sound closer to Madison Square Garden than it does you know a home game for
02:08these teams here so I haven't bet anything yet but I find myself once again kind of expecting the
02:15Knicks to to roll here a little bit now I thought the Knicks were going to roll in game four
02:20and I
02:21managed to be wrong I lost I laid two and a half I was like listen if it's if they
02:26only win by one or
02:27two I'm wrong about this game I was wrong about the game despite the fact that they won
02:33so to me Keb we're at the the point where it was such an anomaly that game four right the
02:41whole trip
02:42to New York was just absolutely crazy to me it comes down to did Knicks leave it all out on
02:50the
02:50court in that comeback historic comeback or did the Spurs because of their youth and experience are
02:58they throwing in the towel now because in three games the one the chances of them coming back are
03:03all to to me that's the only question do the Knicks have enough left in the tank or would they
03:09be willing
03:09to say you know what we're we got mad at we're up three one we can exhale a little bit
03:14but I don't
03:15know are the Spurs laying down here because that's the big question to me I think the Knicks are very
03:22fortunate this wasn't a one-day rest situation because the Jose Alvarado cat press conference I
03:33was looking for a champagne bottle on the table like it felt like they won the the championship
03:40like it certainly did not feel like oh we'll see everybody Saturday um so I think they definitely
03:48needed the extra 24 hours to kind of decompress and and collect themselves the Spurs is a hard one
03:58to get a grasp on because I've been saying this obviously you know Joe and and Craig we've talked
04:04a little bit about this series I really don't think the Spurs have respected the Knicks I I think a
04:10part
04:10of that huge comeback was a lack of respect and top down it doesn't know it usually it's a player's
04:17thing I remember though the platoon squad Kentucky team with John Calipari as their head coach the
04:23reason that team didn't close out an unbeaten season is John Calipari was a hundred percent positive
04:27they were gonna go unbeaten and never thought anybody could beat them and I don't think Mitch
04:32Johnson at any point thought they were gonna lose to the Knicks as they were blowing that lead until it
04:38was too late um so I say all of that to say I it doesn't feel like the Spurs are
04:45gonna have a
04:46defeatist attitude when they are constantly I think portraying that they're playing a JV team
04:53but they're also down 3-1 in the series with the worst blown lead in the history of the NBA
04:59Finals
05:00this is a big part of it for another year I think it's a big part of the season
