The Middle East is on the brink of full-scale war as the April ceasefire completely collapses. President Trump just issued an ultimatum to Tehran, warning that the U.S. is "very close" to targeting Iran’s core infrastructure. Is a massive military operation inevitable?

Full Description:
The fragile truce between the U.S. and Iran has shattered. Following the downing of a U.S. Army Apache helicopter over the Strait of Hormuz, the situation has rapidly escalated. President Trump has shifted from talking about a "very good deal" to threatening devastating strikes on Iran’s power plants, bridges, and strategic economic defense hubs.

Meanwhile, Iran retaliated by launching ballistic missiles and drones at U.S. bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan. With Israel launching its own airstrikes and Congress challenging Trump’s war powers, the region is spiraling.

In this video, we break down:

The Catalyst: How the downing of a U.S. Apache helicopter triggered the latest round of Centcom strikes.

Trump’s Ultimatum: What a "major operation" targeting Iranian infrastructure actually means, and the potential for Special Forces raids.

The Regional Fallout: Iran's missile strikes on U.S. bases and Israel's active involvement against Iran and Hezbollah.

The Constitutional Clash: Congress fights back with a War Powers challenge—will it stop the administration?

What do you think? Is there any path left for diplomacy, or is full-scale conflict unavoidable? Let us know in the comments below.

00:00Trump threatens new strikes on Iranian infrastructure as ceasefire crumbles.
00:05Washington, June 10th. President Donald Trump has warned that he is very close to ordering a new
00:11wave of military strikes against Iran, this time targeting the country's power plants,
00:16bridges, and other strategic infrastructure, as Tehran continues to reject U.S. demands for a
00:21negotiated deal. We are very, very close to launching a major operation, the main objective
00:27of which is to destroy the infrastructure that the Islamic Republic relies on for both its defense
00:31and its economy, Trump told Fox News. The president's warning came in response to the
00:36Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, IRGC, shooting down a U.S. Army Apache helicopter over the
00:42Strait of Hormuz earlier this week. Both crew members survived and were rescued by an American
00:47sea drone. Iran has taken too long. Trump's tone has shifted dramatically from optimism to ultimatum
00:55in recent days. On Tuesday, he told reporters that the U.S. and Iran were in the final throes of
01:02what
01:02will be a very, very good deal. But by Wednesday, his social media posts struck a far harsher note.
01:10Iran's military is a complete and total mess. Much of it, like their navy and air force,
01:16doesn't even exist anymore. They have been completely defeated, Trump wrote on Truth Social.
01:21Iran is all talk and no action. The bully of the Middle East is dead. They've taken too long to
01:29negotiate a deal that would have been great for them. Now they will have to pay the price, he added.
01:35The president's frustration stems from weeks of stalled negotiations over a permanent ceasefire
01:41to end the war that began when the U.S. and Israel launched strikes on Iran on February 28th.
01:47U.S. strikes and Iranian retaliation. The latest escalation was triggered by the downing of the
01:53Apache helicopter on Monday. U.S. Central Command, CENTCOM, responded by striking Iranian air defense
02:00systems, ground control stations, and surveillance radar sites near the Strait of Hormuz, targeting the
02:06cities of Jask and Sirik, as well as Ketchum Island. The IRGC retaliated early Wednesday by launching
02:13ballistic missiles and drones at U.S. bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan. Kuwait's military
02:18announced it was intercepting hostile targets, and Bahrain also activated its air defense systems.
02:24According to a U.S. official cited by Reuters, nearly all of the Iranian missiles and drones
02:29were intercepted, with no reported U.S. casualties. The New York Times confirmed that while Iran launched
02:35multiple missiles, there were no reports of damage to U.S. bases. Iran claimed it had targeted the
02:40Ali al-Salam Air Base in Kuwait and facilities of the U.S. 5th Fleet in Bahrain, as well as
02:46F-35
02:46hangars at the Allah's Rock Base in Jordan. Special Forces Raids on Iranian Territory
02:52Trump suggested that any new operation could involve U.S. special forces conducting raids to seize and hold
02:59areas of Iranian territory. The raid by the special forces refers to locations that the United States
03:05determines must be reached. Our special forces must reach those points and launch operations to
03:11control those areas, Trump said, without specifying whether this would involve a sustained ground
03:16presence. He insisted that such special operations would not violate U.S. laws of war, arguing that they
03:23constitute retaliatory strikes in response to Iranian attacks on U.S. assets in the Middle East.
03:29Congressional War Powers Challenge. The president's threats come just days after the House of
03:35Representatives passed a War Powers Resolution, directing Trump to remove U.S. forces from
03:40hostilities with Iran. The measure passed on June 3rd by a vote of 215 to 208, with four Republicans
03:47joining all Democrats in support. The resolution, House Concurrent Resolution 86, was introduced under
03:54the War Powers Act of 1973, which requires the president to obtain congressional authorization
04:00for military action within 60 days. That deadline passed on May 1st. The War Powers Act is not a
04:08recommendation. It is the law, said Representative Jared Golden, Democrat from Maine, who voted for the
04:14resolution after opposing earlier War Powers measures when the administration was meeting its
04:18notification obligations. If the president has a case to make about why this conflict is in America's
04:24interest, he must come to Congress and make it. That is the only way to bestow any continued conflict
04:30with the legitimacy our system of checks and balances requires, Golden said. The resolution now moves to
04:36the Senate. Even if passed, Trump retains the authority to veto it, and overriding a veto would
04:42require a two-thirds majority in both chambers. Trump has dismissed the House resolution, arguing that the
04:48ceasefire agreement signed on April 8th technically ended major hostilities, and therefore, the
04:5460-day War Powers clock has been reset. He also claims that retaliatory strikes in response to
05:00Iranian attacks on U.S. bases do not require congressional approval. If they attack the U.S.,
05:06we must attack back. Now it is time for the U.S. to attack Iran, because Iran launched attacks on
05:12U.S.
05:12bases in the Middle East on Tuesday night, Trump said. Iran's diplomatic response. Iranian Foreign
05:19Minister Abbas Arakji has warned that his country would leave no attack or threat unanswered, and that
05:25the U.S. had suffered defeats on the battlefield. Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Bakai accused
05:31Washington of damaging this diplomatic process through the contradictory messages it sends, its repeated
05:37shifts in positions and demands, and worst of all, through repeated violations of the ceasefire.
05:43Bakai said Iran needed to reassess the situation, adding that any diplomatic process required a minimum
05:49of stability. Parliament Speaker Mohamed Bagher-Golabov, Iran's chief negotiator, said Tehran's response had
05:57changed the equation of a ceasefire on paper and its repeated violations in the field. Israel joins the fight.
06:04The crisis is not limited to U.S.-Iran exchanges. Over the weekend, Israel launched two waves of
06:11airstrikes across Iran, including against the country's largest petrochemical complex, after
06:17Iran fired ballistic missiles at Israel in retaliation for Israeli strikes on Hezbollah in Beirut.
06:23Iran's military said it was halting attacks on Israel for now, but warned of much harsher and more
06:28forceful actions if Israeli aggression and hostile acts, including operations in southern Lebanon,
06:34continue. At Trump's urging, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to halt preparations for another
06:41strike on Iran, though Israeli defense minister Israel Katz made clear that Israel would continue
06:47striking Hezbollah in Lebanon. Trump told Fox News on Sunday that he was not happy Israel had struck
06:54Beirut without coordinating with the U.S. military. Last week, Trump confirmed he had called Netanyahu
07:01crazy during a phone call and used expletives to express his displeasure with Israel's military
07:06onslaught in Lebanon. The fragile ceasefire collapses. The ceasefire brokered by Pakistan in early April,
07:15which was meant to pause hostilities and buy time for negotiators to hammer out a long-term peace
07:20agreement, has effectively collapsed. Both sides have exchanged intermittent fire for weeks,
07:26but the latest escalation, including the downing of the U.S. helicopter, the U.S. strikes on Iranian
07:32radar sites, and Iran's missile attacks on U.S. bases, represents the most serious breach of the
07:38truce since it was signed. Lebanon has complicated the picture further. Iran is reportedly seeking a
07:44separate ceasefire to protect Hezbollah before returning fully to negotiations with the U.S.
07:50Israeli leaders believe Iran is trying to carve out a zone of immunity for Hezbollah in southern
07:55Lebanon, which would erode Israel's regional position. Any Iranian attempt to tie Lebanon and
08:01Iran and attack Israel will be answered forcefully, as it was yesterday, Katz said in a statement.
08:07What comes next? With the War Powers Resolution moving through Congress,
08:11Trump threatening new strikes, Iran refusing to capitulate, and Israel continuing its campaign
08:17against Hezbollah, the Middle East appears to be spiraling back toward full-scale war.
08:22Trump told Fox News he had a message for Iran after its latest assault on Israel.
08:28You've shot your missiles. That's enough. Get back to the table and make a deal.
08:32But Iran's leadership has shown no indication of backing down. As one analyst noted,
08:38neither is willing to compromise, and the red lines both sides have drawn through Lebanon and the
08:43Strait of Hormuz make the path to de-escalation increasingly narrow. For now, Trump insists that
08:50Iran still has an opportunity to negotiate, but warned that the opportunity is running out.
