00:00I apologize in advance if I get emotional.
00:05I'm honored by the role that I've been given.
00:09I'm also very humbled by the task in front of us.
00:12But first and foremost, I'm grateful.
00:16There are many parts that need to come together for a space launch.
00:20And you need a launch pad.
00:23And for me, that launch pad is my country, Italy.
00:26It's an education system, the Italian Air Force that gave me the professional tools to bring me here today.
00:33The Italian Space Agency that gave me the first flight to put those skills to proof.
00:39And for that, I'm very grateful.
00:42The European Space Agency is like a launch tower connecting these two worlds, building bridges.
00:52It's very natural is to build relationships and building bridges, connections, and to elevate individuals to achieve their full potential.
01:03The rocket, figuratively and literally, is NASA.
01:07I'm grateful that NASA has allowed me to be part of this incredible group of people, of this crew, and
01:14for letting me fly.
01:15But we wouldn't be going anywhere without fuel.
01:20And the fuel that lets everything move is right here.
01:24Maya, Sarah, Marta, my extended family here in the crowd.
01:31You are the energy that feeds my soul.
01:38And your love is the spark that ignites every passion.
01:41Thank you.
01:42Grazie.
01:43Grazie.
01:44Grazie.
