00:19outside it's it's not for people like me you know i was the vice president of the nigerian
00:24association in my area we had an event and i was speaking on stage and i was talking about the
00:32vision and the plan for the community and things of the like and um an mp which is equivalent to

00:39senator here in nigeria an mp after the events approached me gave me her card and said have you
00:46ever thought about running for office i really think you should uh you would be someone good in
00:50that space and she started to mentor me and um it probably about two years of mentoring and working
00:58with me over a period of time molding me so to speak into becoming a politician in canada
