Scott Van Pelt joins Kevin Sheehan to give his reaction to and analysis on Game 3 of the NBA Finals and what he thinks will happen next in the series, plus weighs in on if he believes Victor Wembanyama is a dirty player or not.
Transcript
00:00Scott Van Pelt was there last night.
00:03He did his SportsCenter after the This Is NBA show.
00:07It was on very late.
00:08I did stay up and watch much of it.
00:11I thought Dylan Harper was really, really good with you last night.
00:15But let's just start with this, because I texted you early on,
00:20even before the game.
00:21What was it like to be there?
00:23Because it just looked like an unbelievably electric scene
00:27and atmosphere.
00:29It truly was, Kevin.
00:30I mean, I've done this a long time, like a long time.
00:35And you get a little bit numb to it, immune to it, used to it, whatever.
00:40Last night in New York City in the Garden, it was 11 out of 10,
00:44just in terms of like in every direction there was somebody.
00:50And it was, I mean, Jeter and Eli are sitting side by side.
00:54Oh, there's Chalamet.
00:55Oh, there's Jay-Z.
00:56What do you know?
00:57Oh, there's John Stewart.
00:58Oh, there's Chris Rock.
00:58Oh, there's Mayor Bloomberg.
01:00Oh, there's Al Sharpton.
01:02I mean, it was like it ran the gamut of New York City heavyweights.
01:09And, you know, I turn over and I'm right next to Dave Chappelle.
01:15And it's like, oh, hello, Dave.
01:18At one point, Jeremy Lin, who's been doing some work with us on, is really good.
01:25He is really good.
01:26He was in the way to back, too.
01:28Hold on a second.
01:30Yeah.
01:32Um, I'm sorry.
01:34I'm pulling into a place and I think I need my ID, maybe.
01:39Do what you need to do.
01:40We're good.
01:41No, no, no, no.
01:41So Spike Lee asked me to find Jeremy Lin because he had some jerseys that he wanted Jeremy to sign.
01:53And so I'm looking around and I go back to our area and I said to our group, I said,
01:57this is a sentence I've never imagined I'd say out loud, but I need to find Jeremy Lin because Spike's
02:01looking for him.
02:03Um, and it was just that kind of thing where you were just in the deep end of the pool
02:08and the buzz and the build.
02:10And, you know, New York City and, you know, the garden, Kevin, it just got to a place where it
02:14was fever pitch.
02:15But the Spurs, I thought, from the jump came out and shot the ball so well.
02:20And it was so important that they do that.
02:21But, and then it's a, it's an avalanche in the second quarter where it's 42, 24, New York.
02:29And that buried a lot of people this year.
02:31Um, and so for the Spurs to stare into that atmosphere and just not blank and come out in the
02:36third, the way they did,
02:37and then finally play well enough in the end to win, just the whole night was really remarkable.
02:43Um, from a, from a vibe scene standpoint.
02:45And then, you know, from the basketball that, and this goes back to the theme you and I have talked
02:50about off the air,
02:50and I'm sure you've talked about a ton on the air, the physicality and what they're letting go is nuts.
02:56Crazy.
02:58Crazy.
02:58I mean, I, I, I've said it all throughout the post season.
03:01And the last time we talked, I asked you if you felt like it was different.
03:05And I love this time of year with the physicality, but I thought Friday night in particular, it just crossed
03:10the line.
03:11I mean, what they were allowing was crazy, but let me just real quickly ask you, because, you know, um,
03:17it's Scott is very humble
03:19when it comes to some of this conversation, but I've been with him many times when people of note have
03:25come up and,
03:25and wanted to meet him, uh, in places.
03:29And you've told me so many stories about different things that I won't even go into them, but was there
03:34one of those,
03:35you know, last night, like, wasn't it usher who basically came up to you on a plane once and walk
03:41up,
03:41up to you and said, Hey man, I'm a big fan or something like that.
03:45Did you have one of those last night?
03:48I mean, I, uh, it just people that look at you and give you the nod, like the what's up
03:55nod.
03:56Right.
03:56I mean, it's, it's kind of all those people that you're mentioning.
03:59Like I'm on the floor and, and the commissioner, uh, comes up and it's, we're, we're on the floor and
04:05they're, the folks are very sort of,
04:07we need to get you out of here.
04:08They're trying to warm up and I'm standing with commissioner silver who comes over to me.
04:13Cause he wants to talk about how much he loves the post game and this and that, that we do.
04:17And the guys that are doing security are not psyched that we're out there, but it's the commissioner.
04:23And I finally said, I said, Adam, like Josh's heart's trying to get some shots up here.
04:27Let's, let's step to the side.
04:29And then you step to the side and then it's, you know, there's, there's Larry David.
04:32I wanted to say hi to Larry cause he's a Maryland guy.
04:35I didn't get a chance to go say hi to him, but then I wouldn't want to bother somebody, but
04:39I don't know.
04:40It's just, it's wild.
04:41I've done this a long time.
04:42So even if there's, there's just that recognition that people say hello or they greet you or whatever,
04:47it's always kind of wild that they would have any idea who you were.
04:50Uh, Spencer Haywood came over to me and was like, man, I'm such a big fan.
04:55I was like, how does Spencer Haywood know me?
04:57Larry Johnson.
04:58I told him, we started talking about George apples on that UNLV team.
05:02And when I said George apples, he stood up out of his chair and gave me this big hug.
05:06He's like, I'm so glad you remember him.
05:08And I mean, you do such a great job.
05:10And I just looked at Stanford Steve and I was like, Larry Johnson watches our show, you know,
05:14just goofy stuff like that.
05:16By the way, Spencer Haywood's a big part of that documentary about the ABA.
05:21Have you watched that?
05:22Have we talked about that or not?
05:24Soul power.
05:25It's so good.
05:26Yes.
05:26And, and he was mentioning to me how many guys are on the Spencer Haywood deal, you know?
05:30And, and, and he said, and they don't know what I said.
05:32Yeah, but I, yeah, I said, yeah, but I do.
05:34I mean, I know how important he is to, to the game, but man, it was, I mean, you were
05:39up
05:39to your eyeballs in the, as I say, the deep end of New York city last night, but you know
05:44what this first team, as young as they are, uh, for them not to ever lose poise and get
05:50the game they had to have, man, really, really impressive.
05:53So the other thing about the crowd that I wanted to ask you, and I don't think I asked
05:57you this last night, but, um, you know, even, um, Ryan and Corbin were asking me to ask you
06:03about the decibel level, like you and I, and I'm not going to make this a Maryland thing,
06:08but we have been in environments and you have beyond Xfinity and Cole field house, but Xfinity
06:15center for games that we've both been to.
06:17It's been as bad as loud as I can imagine an arena being was that much different than
06:25what we've experienced before.
06:29Um, different because what, what, what the, um, the, the, the decibel level was, it was
06:37more buzz than it was like the, the, the buzz of the, of the night was, was more palpable,
06:44right?
06:44Like the, the real roars, uh, it got crazy in the second, you know, second quarter,
06:50crazy, you know, I'd say, okay.
06:52See last year was every bit as loud as any place I've ever been.
06:55You did tell me that.
06:56I remember that.
06:57Yeah.
06:57Indiana was, was every bit as loud as any place I've ever been.
07:00I mean, you know, I think you recognize, man, these finals games, um, it's just, it's,
07:05it's a whole different level of atmosphere that you're, you're stepping into.
07:10And then again, the New York city angle, obviously it just is, is a magnifier.
07:15But I, I mean, look, you and I know that, that our place, uh, and go back to Cole, like
07:19on nights when it gets great, it's great.
07:21But I mean, you know, there's just, there's more people in some of these arenas, uh, than
07:26I'm, than I'm used to being in.
07:29What is Wemby look like in person?
07:32It's hard to describe, man.
07:34Like we were in the, in the tunnel, um, early cause we got there early just to make sure
07:39we could get in the joint and, uh, I I'm standing there with Ben Stiller, uh, who I
07:44have gotten to know because sure.
07:47Uh, and he's doing all this, he's creating, he's doing a film and he's waiting for Wemby
07:51Yama and he comes walking up this tunnel and it's jarring.
07:55I mean, you know, I'm six, six, I'm a big person.
07:58He is so tall and just so unusually proportioned that you just can't make sense of it.
08:05And then I happen to be standing directly by the side of the floor where Wemby Yama came
08:09out.
08:10Um, it wasn't intentional.
08:11I just kind of got lucky cause I wanted to just see like, all right, like in his, in
08:15his gear, right.
08:16In his Spurs uniform, it just, it's just so, I mean, not strange, just different, unique.
08:23I mean, his, again, he's seven, whatever he is.
08:26Uh, and what is he's listed at seven, four and a half, but he towers over cat who's seven
08:33feet, you know, he's gotta be seven, six, man.
08:36Um, he's gotta be that.
08:38Uh, and then I just, what I wanted to watch was, you know, like the, the pregame is always
08:44instructive, right?
08:45You learn what do guys do.
08:46And like, I watch his handle and the ball is like a grape in his hand.
08:50So it's, he's able to sort of caress the whole ball when he dribbles it, but it's so high
08:56because he's so tall that he's, you know, he's working this outside stuff and I'm looking
09:01at him going, look, I get that you can do that, but then you should probably probe the
09:05paint some tonight.
09:06And then that was obviously a huge focus of what they were trying to do, uh, was make
09:10sure he was a force in the, in the paint.
09:13And I think he had the most paint buckets that I've, that he's had thus far this series.
09:18Yeah, he, that I'm totally with you on that.
09:21I think he can be Kevin Durant down the road a little bit more, but, um, he's much better
09:26right now in the paint.
09:27So, um, my, here were my big two takeaways and we took an hour's worth of calls on the
09:33NBA finals, you know, with the Brandon Iuke story swirling here, uh, in town.
09:39Um, and cause you know, I'd much rather talk about last night than Brandon Iuke, but I number
09:46one was that I just, the Knicks reverted to what they did last year and what they did early
09:52in the Atlanta series, the ball stuck with Brunson and the ISO ball killed them offensively.
09:59Uh, so that was big takeaway.
10:02Number one, I'll tell you what takeaway number number two was in a moment, but you had Legler
10:06on and I missed that.
10:08I'm, I'm, I'm upset that I missed that part of the show, but what did you hear from the
10:12people that were analyzing the game about sort of the ball sticking with Brunson too much?
10:20Iman Shumpert, who I know you really like a lot and I've gotten to know him and he wasn't
10:26on my show last night, but he was, we talked at halftime and he's just, he was, uh, bothered
10:33by exactly what you described.
10:35He's like, he cannot have that many dribbles and the ball just staying in his hands.
10:39There, there's so much better when they're, when they're moving it and it doesn't stay
10:44put and, uh, Legs didn't mention that as much, you know, we, we, uh, with Tim talked
10:49about Mike Brown's point that he made regarding the officiating, which I felt was intentional.
10:55Um, he, he gave the Spurs the credit, but you're just trying to get a better whistle
10:58down the road.
10:59Uh, as you know, I understand why he does that, but I mean, more than anything, Legs comments
11:05were, were simply, you know, how great when Banyama was on both ends, how Jeremy Lin pointed
11:10out that, that having Wemby roam the baseline and, you know, side to side was, was really
11:15impactful.
11:15He had that incredible block on Shamit when he went baseline.
11:19Um, and you know, you try to use the rim as a defender, just doesn't matter because
11:23one Banyama's length, won't let it be a defender.
11:26Um, but I mean, I don't know that the topics, the conversation were, were Wemby and Stefan
11:31Castle's greatness, like his, you know, he hit kind of a, a, um, not a miracle, but a late
11:36in the shot clock, deep heave that was probably as big a bucket as anything other
11:40than the Fox shot late.
11:42Um, but it was more than anything, the resolve of the Spurs, um, and their ability to finally
11:47make the plays that were the difference in the last two minutes.
11:50I mean, this could be a two Oh Spurs lead.
11:52If they're better in the last two minutes at home, they weren't.
11:55Um, but the, the, the, the sticking of the ball with Brunson was honestly more of a topic
12:00with Michael Wilbon and Stephen A Smith.
12:02Um, and I was traveling up to Connecticut this morning, so I didn't see what Stephen had
12:06to say on first take, but I know that the, the idea from the New York lens was, was about
12:11that, that, you know, what are we 30 for 81 for Brunson so far, uh, from the floor, hasn't
12:16shot it well.
12:17Um, and San Antonio is really making him work his ass off to, to even to get where he is.
12:22Uh, I'm sorry.
12:24I'm rambling.
12:25I'm just trying to get to the point.
12:26No, no, the one point that, uh, I think Jeremy made Lynn, he's like, I'd like to see
12:31the Knicks do something to, to get the ball out of Brunson's hand so he, he doesn't have
12:35to spend so much energy bringing it up.
12:37Yes.
12:37You know, that seems so obvious to me on Friday night, the laboring required for him against
12:45castle in particular, just to get the ball across half court, whoever's guarding, whoever
12:51when Benyama's guarding should bring the ball up court.
12:54Then there's no, it should initiate the offense, even if it's cat.
12:59Yeah, I, I, I agree with that.
13:01Um, because in particularly, I want to say it was game two.
13:05It felt like San Antonio jumped Brunson as soon as he got across half court.
13:08It's almost like they're trapping at mid using the mid court as a defender and then, and they're
13:13being allowed, not just they, the Spurs, but the Knicks as well.
13:17But they're, they're so physical on the perimeter.
13:19It just is, I can't get over it.
13:21Um, so I don't know this, I mean, we, we do this, we over dissect and then we react and
13:26whatever else, uh, to, to what will happen in game four.
13:30But this is San Antonio is young.
13:32They walked into the belly of the beast, man.
13:34And they, they got one, they had to have.
13:36So, uh, you know, the whole, the whole dynamic changes because now Wednesday is not a closeout
13:41spot.
13:41Now all the pressure reverts to New York is if you lose it, now you got to go, you got
13:45to win two or three in San Antonio.
13:47So, you know, it makes Wednesday really interesting.
13:50So the, the second big sort of tech takeaway or theme for me after last night, um, was
13:59twofold kind of one Wemby's dirty.
14:02I've watched every single game of every San Antonio playoff game.
14:08He's a dirty player.
14:09And number two is he's becoming a bit irritating because of that.
14:13And I'm wondering what your response is to that.
14:16I know we've talked a little bit about his chippiness.
14:19I love, by the way, his competitiveness.
14:22Don't get me wrong.
14:23And I like the physical nature of the post season, even though I think it's crossed the
14:28line at times in terms of what they're allowing, but I think he's a dirty player.
14:33What do you say?
14:35I love the edge.
14:36I love that he seems like a guy that is, you know, MFing people under his breath.
14:43Like, I love that.
14:44You need that to win.
14:46You need a ferocious competitor.
14:50Um, the, the narrative that surrounded Oklahoma city was that people thought that they flopped
14:56and people couldn't stand it and they don't play ethical basketball.
14:59So everyone's rooting for the Spurs and they're the darlings.
15:02And then New York, uh, excuse me, they beat them.
15:06And now in three games, there's been enough sort of the same things people used against
15:11Jay, right.
15:12To create these clips, you can put clips together with, with one banyan where you're like, what
15:17are you doing, man?
15:18Like you grabbing Brunson and whatever.
15:20I, I'm had, I'm hesitant to say dirty.
15:23Cause I feel like that's like a brand that sticks with you.
15:25I'd say he's, he's at the line slash very dangerously close to going over it, to doing
15:32things that are flagrant and ought to be called as such when he does something that's a flagrant
15:36then call it that, you know, I mean, he threw an elbow early against Minnesota.
15:40We saw that and he got tossed dirty.
15:44I don't know.
15:45I, he's, he's doing things that are going to give him that label by the end of this series.
15:50If, if, if it, uh, isn't already, and I hear other people saying what you're saying, um,
15:56you can be the darlings and then quickly you, what's the, what's the saying?
15:59You die a hero or live long enough to become the villain.
16:02Like it's, it's changing in real time for them.
16:05It is.
16:06And, and, and by the way, multiple things can be true at the same time.
16:09I mean, his talent, his skill level at his size.
16:12I mean, I think already we're watching one of the great defensive players we've ever watched
16:17and it'll only get better.
16:18I do think there's some awkwardness to his offensive game, but he was outstanding last
16:24night because most of the shots were taken near the paint.
16:27But if that's dream on green last night against Brunson, he might get tossed in game four.
16:32He might've gotten suspended.
16:34I mean, you're, you're certainly your reputation precedes you and he's going to, he's going to
16:39earn one in a hurry.
16:41Um, if he continues to, to put his gigantic size twenties up against this line and cross it.
16:48I agree, uh, that there are, that you can't continue to push the envelope to that degree,
16:54uh, cause nobody wants to be ejecting someone of his impact in, in a, in a championship game.
17:01No one.
17:01Um, but you can't exploit that, uh, and continue to make plays that lead to this kind of conversation.
17:09I loved what Harper said to you last night about castle.
17:13Um, just about the, you know, does he ever smile?
17:16Just give me verbatim.
17:18What was said?
17:18And I asked him basically what you said, I said, what makes Stefan castle smiling before
17:24I could even get it out.
17:26Harper goes, nothing that I try all the time and I can't make him even smile.
17:30And I said, I, I love watching these teams because between OG and Anobi and castle, these
17:36are two incredibly impactful and talented young players.
17:39And neither one of them ever changed his expression.
17:42Um, castle is, I mean, he was excellent last night and he is very, very tough and, and really,
17:48really rugged guy, man.
17:50He's strong as hell.
17:51And he just Harper said, no, no, I can't.
17:54I try to make him smile and I can't.
17:56How impressive is Harper?
17:57He's 20 and he sits there with me and he's as good media wise as anyone for either team
18:02in this series.
18:03I mean, it's really good media wise.
18:07He was great on, on with Barkley and Ernie and the guys before your show last night.
18:12Yeah, he did inside.
18:14And I mean, it's the, the behind the scenes stuff's kind of interesting how this works.
18:18And I mean, inside is, is this the first time they've ever been at the finals?
18:22And last year we were the ones that were on in that spot.
18:24So we kind of had whoever we wanted.
18:27Well, now obviously inside it's going to get, uh, get first pick they're on first and they,
18:32they chose castle, um, or they asked for castle, uh, I should say.
18:36And it's, it's like, it's just kind of a list.
18:39And like, we, I had like one Binyama castle and, um, I asked for Harper just cause we,
18:44he, we had done a couple with him and he's been great.
18:47Uh, he didn't shoot it great, but I thought, I don't care.
18:49He guys from here, he's 20 and he's, and he's writing an amazing, an amazing story.
18:55You said to him, you got some shot volume up tonight.
18:59And that was funny.
19:01And he, he admitted, yeah, I put a lot up.
19:03He shot 18 times in 32 minutes.
19:05It was one for eight from behind the arc.
19:07Yeah.
19:08And he's looking at, cause we're looking at the box score.
19:10I was like, yeah, you got 18 up tonight.
19:11And he was like, yeah, he's like, I was one for eight for three.
19:14He goes, I'll never be one for eight from three again.
19:16And I said, well, they look good.
19:17He goes, I thought everyone was good off my finger.
19:19They did look good.
19:20Yeah, I agree.
19:21And that's, I mean, you and I always feel the same way with like any Maryland guy through the years.
19:25Like if you're a good shooter and I don't care if it goes in or not, let it rip, you
19:28know what I mean?
19:29Like shooters shoot, but, but he was, he was fantastic in the, uh, in the interview, but, um, like, it's
19:34just kind of, you put a list together and then, you know, the, the media folks are great.
19:38And they kind of help out with, you know, the, the ordering of who goes where or whatever.
19:43Um, but I mean, we're sitting there in the garden and it's, you know, one in the morning and you're
19:47sitting on the floor of the garden with a set, talking to people at the NBA finals.
19:52The whole thing is pretty surreal.
19:54So we're talking to Scott Van Pelt, of course.
19:57Um, and he was there last night doing sports center after the show.
20:01Uh, and you'll be there tomorrow night as well.
20:05Yes, correct.
20:06Okay.
20:07So, I mean, do you find it like as hard as I am finding it right now to figure out
20:14what happens next?
20:15Like, I, I don't have a good feel for anything.
20:18Like you said, all three of these games could have gone, San Antonio could be up three, nothing down three,
20:24nothing.
20:24It could be two, one either way.
20:26What is your hunch on what happens next?
20:30I truly don't know because no one's done anything that leads me to believe that there's a significant advantage one
20:37way or another that leads itself to some sort of a blowout or easy, easy outcome to decipher.
20:43Uh, I am waiting for Brunson to have a game where he shoots it well.
20:47Um, I thought maybe the second quarter was the avalanche, you know, it's 42, 24.
20:52But when I saw him on at halftime, he talked me out of it.
20:55He said, no.
20:56And he was explaining like the, the weight of the half court and how they had the floor was poorly
21:00balanced and they miss shots they won't miss.
21:02And I'm like, damn, you're, he's really, really a basketball savant.
21:06Uh, such a treat to talk to him.
21:08Wait, who was that?
21:08Who said it at halftime?
21:09I'm sorry.
21:10I'm on Shumpert.
21:11Yeah.
21:12No, I, he is so good.
21:14So good.
21:15I agree.
21:15And he's even, he's even more fun off the air because we can be more colorful and descriptive in the
21:20language that people use when they're not
21:22but on television, uh, he's just great.
21:25Anyway, um, he, he was convinced at halftime that what happened was going to happen, but I don't know how
21:30you have any real read on anything.
21:33Um, the Spurs have shown that the moment's not too much.
21:36Um, the Knicks, obviously they've won what 13 in a row prior to last night.
21:40So, um, I, I think the Brunson piece that you point out, like, let not, let's not have it stick.
21:46Let's not have him use so much energy, bringing the ball up.
21:49But how do we find some kind of, uh, not, I mean, it's not going to be easy, but get
21:54him in a rhythm where he gets more buckets, uh, without having to shoot 27 times to get them.
22:00Um, I keep thinking the Knicks are going to have a game where they, where they shoot it well.
22:05Um, and maybe it's more comfortable, but I mean, the Spurs, they won two, they won two in, uh, OKC
22:11one in seven.
22:13They just won a game three.
22:14They had to have, if they won on Wednesday night and made it even, would it be surprising?
22:17No, not at all.
22:18I don't, anyone that's got to read, I'd love to know what leads you to that conclusion.
22:22You know what I'm saying?
22:24There's one player for the Knicks that I actually think really makes a difference when he's in there off the
22:30bench in terms of their pace and their spacing and the ball moving.
22:35And that's Alvarado.
22:36I don't know if he and Brunson, I don't know if the two of them could play together.
22:41Uh, I think it would be interesting.
22:44It'd be a defensive problem.
22:46Yeah.
22:47Yeah.
22:47It'd be a very big defensive problem.
22:50Uh, for sure.
22:51Because the length, the length of the guards for, for the Spurs is noticeable.
22:55They're, they're, they're big people.
22:57Um, I, I was, my list for New York was like, I just want to talk to OG Ananobi if
23:02they win, because I think he's, remember watching him at Indiana?
23:06He was good.
23:07I thought he was, oh, because you could, you could look at him and go, okay, physically.
23:11Yeah.
23:11No, he's a, he's, he's a big man.
23:13And, and okay.
23:14Yeah.
23:14That's a pro.
23:15But like, what kind of pro?
23:16I don't know.
23:16Not this.
23:17I had no idea he'd become this gifted, a three point shooter and this impactful.
23:22And you, I mean, I, he's like Castle to me.
23:25He doesn't change expression ever.
23:28And I just appreciate pros.
23:30I love pros that do their job and there's no BS.
23:34And he's that, um, never once do you, do you, do you see a high or a low out of
23:39him?
23:39He just keeps impacting the game.
23:41Um, he's phenomenal.
23:43Um, and the, the, the, but just in the same way that the Spurs,
23:47Spurs conversation, had they made the shot for when Binyam at the end of game two, the
23:51whole conversation after it's different when Binyam, excuse me, uh, Ananobi would have
23:55gotten all sorts of love last night and it doesn't really get mentioned much because they
24:00didn't win.
24:00Um, but he was great.
24:02The playoffs are the ultimate reveal about these teams and players.
24:07The regular season just isn't.
24:08And he's a big reveal about what you said.
24:12He is a phenomenal two-way player.
24:14And, you know, one of the things I kind of forget about Ananobi, he was on a championship
24:19team, you know, with Siakam and with Kawhi and he's been around that.
24:25Yep.
24:25And you know, what's cool is that Jeremy, uh, Lynn, who, who was on that Toronto team, uh,
24:31when I was talking about Ananobi and how, how serious he is, unlike what Ron, uh, excuse
24:36me, what Dylan Harper told me, um, about castle and you can't make him smile.
24:40He's like, no, no, OG is like, he's goofy and fun in a great way.
24:44And I said, no, he's not.
24:45He goes, no, no, he really is.
24:47And I just can't fathom that that's the case.
24:49Um, but I thought it was just interesting insight from, uh, from Jeremy, which was neat
24:55to see him go back to the, to the garden.
24:57I mean, it was, it was a meteoric moment.
24:59It was a Haley's comment moment, what Lynn did, but he's royalty forever in New York
25:04city.
25:04Like they, they adore him and him being back in the garden.
25:07And he said, it was the first time he'd been back since, like, since he played there.
25:10Um, and it was cool.
25:12Like he didn't want to ring, but he's responsible for something that everybody in New York remembers
25:16with such, um, affinity.
25:18So just another little layer to the whole scene of yesterday.
