00:10sent me the video of what occurred here late last night at Kinard Avenue off the Antrim Road in
00:16North Belfast and it was horrific to watch it's almost difficult to comprehend the barbarity of
00:22this attack that there was a man pinned on the ground he seemed to be in a helpless state and
00:28yet he was continuing to be attacked with a knife by a man who had him pinned down and he's
00:33been
00:34attacked on his face and at his throat and slashes at his throat and you can hear other residents
00:42shouting and telling him to stop attacking him and I do want to commend those residents who
00:47intervened at risk to themselves and then the police officers who arrived and brought the attack
00:54to an end so there's huge concern about that this is not just a local story this is a national
00:59story
