00:06well hello there folks and a very warm welcome back to what's for tea it's lovely to see you
00:11and i hope that i find you very well indeed and thanks for coming over for this week's recipe
00:17and it's this wonderful chocolate and walnut fudge this stuff just melts in your mouth it's
00:24beautiful and ever so easy to make so let me go and show you how i put this one together
00:29and i will put the ingredients on the screen as i use them and you'll also find them down below
00:35in
00:35the description box so this is my tin here you can use an eight by eight square a seven by
00:41seven inch
00:42square or use any tin that you like really just make sure it's not too big because you do want
00:47nice wee chunky squares of fudge so these are my walnuts here and i've just roughly chopped these
00:53down and i'm going to be using chocolate chips you can use bars of chocolate if you prefer but this
00:59is just really easy to throw into the pan this is my sweetened condensed milk as well other brands
01:06are available but i don't think it makes much difference i'm also going to add a touch of honey
01:10which is completely optional so go over to your cooker pop all of your ingredients into your pan
01:16apart from the walnuts we're going to stir those in just at the end so you just want to add
01:21everything
01:22into your pan and then the honey if you're deciding to use the honey and i'm also going to add
01:27two
01:28tablespoons of butter you can use unsalted or salted it's completely up to you so you just want to warm
01:35all of this together on a kind of low to medium heat nice and slowly just to combine everything you
01:42don't want to burn your chocolate so you don't want too much heat underneath your pan just enough
01:47to get everything nicely melted and then it will start to come together this might take you about
01:53five minutes to do nice and slowly once you're at this stage and everything is melted you can add in
02:00your walnuts and just give those a good stir together just to make sure they are well you know well
02:06coated and well incorporated throughout your chocolate and then all you have to do is pop this
02:12into your lined tin you know it's as easy as that so just get this into your prepared tin and
02:19you can
02:20just move your tin around you know sort of tilt your pan from side to side or you can use
02:25a spoon you
02:25know just to make sure it's into the corners but yeah it really is as simple as this
02:48then once you're happy and it's nice and even pop this into the fridge to set it may take three
02:54to
02:54four hours i gave this one four hours and it was perfect you know just take that out of your
03:00tin and
03:00you just want to chop this first of all into bars and then small squares or whatever size squares you
03:07prefer but this is very rich you know very sweet so you won't want too much of this at one
03:13time but
03:14you'll get lots of squares out of this and it's absolutely perfect for gifting as well you know if
03:20you've got these wee bags that you can gift things and you know the wee clear bags because you just
03:25pop a
03:26few squares in and it makes a lovely gift as well because like i said it does make an awful
03:31lot of
03:31squares if you don't want as much as this just half you know the ingredients and use a smaller tin
03:37and
03:37obviously give you less you know fudge at the end of the day but you do give this one a
03:43go because like
03:43i said it really is melting your mouth and i'm just going to pop this onto a plate for the
03:49purposes of
03:50getting a good picture for the youtube thumbnail but you highly recommend you do give some kind of
03:56fudge a go because it's a lot easier than you might imagine and really tasty as well so thank you
