00:00You've been in that building for every single moment that has mattered in Madison Square Garden.
00:05We could talk college, we could talk Rangers, we could talk Knicks.
00:09What makes MSG so special?
00:12There's nothing like it.
00:14And this is not taking anything away from Yankee Stadium.
00:18There is no building.
00:20First of all, it's New York City.
00:21And there is nothing that pulsates like the heart of New York City,
00:27like Madison Square Garden does, on a big sports night.
00:31I've always said, having been in the Garden for so many big events,
00:35there is nothing that says New York.
00:39There is nothing that says big time in sports like Madison Square Garden.
00:46You realize that when you're in that building tonight, you are in the center of the universe.
00:51That's all there is to it.
00:52Everything is revolving around that building.
00:56Nothing else feels like that.
00:58And that's why I've made this statement.
01:00I made this statement about 40 years ago, and I've heard a couple people bring it up in the last
01:03week.
01:03I said, people love the Yankees, and they have a great following.
01:07People love the Giants, and they have a great following.
01:10But when the Knicks are playing for high stakes,
01:17they take this town on a ride that the Yankees can't do, the Giants can't do,
01:22because they light up New York and Manhattan in a way that the other teams don't.
01:30When the Knicks get like this, there is nothing like the impact that the Knicks have on this city.
01:36And right now, the Knicks are, they have the whole city in the palm of their hand.
01:42That's all there is to it.
01:43And this doesn't happen for teams very often.
01:46And this is an experience that comes along very, very rarely.
01:52This is one of the great, if you're in that building tonight,
01:55this is one of those great New York sports nights that you've heard about
01:59and you've read about, and tonight you'll get a chance to experience.
