00:00In the immediate aftermath of the attacks, there was a failure to recognise and respond appropriately to serious injury, particularly
00:09the brain injury that was suffered by Wayne.
00:12We often found that the support that was given to the surviving victims did not match the scale or seriousness
00:20of what happened to them, and basic adjustments weren't made to accommodate for their injuries.
00:30A consistent and troubling theme that emerged following the attacks is that the survivors were treated as an afterthought, and
00:37their basic rights as victims were not properly delivered.
