The Metropolitan Police have launched an internal review into their contact with a teenager in the days before he fatally stabbed a 55-year-old man.

00:25Also saying, while the Met's review is ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment further.
00:33The force highlighted that they remain in contact with the family of Mr Carroll and continue to keep them updated.
00:4119-year-old Rashid Abdul Rahman of Dunmau Clothes in Chadwell Heath in East London was found guilty last month
00:49of murdering Mark Carroll in St Martin's Gardens in Camden in 2024.
00:55Police officers and the London Ambulance Service attended St Martin's Gardens on the 10th of April that year after receiving
01:04reports of an unresponsive man.
01:07Mr Carroll was found with a stab, wound, and transported to a local hospital, where he later died.
01:14Last month, the court heard the attack was sudden and unprovoked.
01:18The court also heard that Rahman was not known to Mr Carroll.
01:23Rahman will be sentenced at Wood Green Crown Court at a later date.
