00:00When do I get to read your novel?
00:02When the sun explodes and the earth is consumed in a molten apocalypse.
00:06Soon, Mother. Soon.
00:08I've always been a fan of Charles Adams' drawings,
00:11but the character of Wednesday just really spoke to me.
00:14It's just a character I really identify with.
00:16That's what drew me to it.
00:17This show is not a TV series.
00:19It is an extended Tim Burton movie,
00:20and you see his love in every frame.
00:24There once was a brilliant boy with a fragile heart.
00:27The challenge was, how do we top season one?
00:30And with the quality of his filmmaking, I think Tim really brought that.
00:34We need to set bear traps out here.
00:36Working with Tim again has been so much fun.
00:39He's one of the funniest people I know,
00:40and probably my favorite director I've ever worked with,
00:43because, you know, we'll always get what he needs,
00:45but he allows me the room to play.
00:46I cause chaos. I don't succumb to it.
00:49For me, it was enjoyable just because, you know, I love the cast.
00:52It was really fun working with some new cast members this season.
00:55Would you like a sticker?
00:56Only if you have one that says, do not resuscitate.
00:59There's that wicked tongue I've heard so much about.
01:02For an actor, he's a great audience,
01:04and it was fun to work on this character with him,
01:07because he gets so excited when he finds it.
01:10There's always something thrilling about working for Tim Burton.
01:13His whole mind takes him to a different world,
01:15and the world that they've created here in Wednesday and Nevermore,
01:19and the family is just intoxicating. It's wonderful.
01:22You and your Uncle Festa with the same ability.
01:25You're a chip off the old executioner's block.
01:27Tim really brings that edge to the show.
01:31You just know he has a whole vision for the look, for the flow, how it goes.
01:37Look at us. One big, unhappy family.
01:40For the whole thing to be hailed by Tim Burton,
01:42and to see this world materialize was amazing.
01:46The look and the feel of this is like in all the things I do is an important element
01:50to sort of telling the story and what it's about.
01:53The combination of sets and locations giving it that kind of weird Addams Family vibe.
01:57Tim's perspective and Tim's artistic vision is one of my favorites in the whole world.
02:04Tell me how you plan to take on the Galpin family monster mashup.
02:08Your sharp tongue won't be enough to keep them at bay.
02:11In the world today, there are probably five name-brand movie directors,
02:15and Tim is one of them. Absolutely.
02:17I've witnessed the havoc you can wreak.
02:19I'll be happy to say that I've worked with one of the great ones.
02:22To be able to learn from someone like Tim firsthand, it's a very special experience.
02:26I really enjoyed every day with him.
