Organisers expect another large turnout as giant kites return to the seafront. Free workshops, live entertainment and a park and ride service are planned across the weekend.

00:00Thousands of visitors are expected to be at Redka Kite Festival this weekend, as all the amazing, colourful displays return

00:09Now in its third year, the two-day event is billed by organisers as featuring some of the largest and
00:15most spectacular kites.
00:17They expect attendance to at least match last year, when about 30,000 people were estimated to have visited.
00:24Subject to tide conditions, kites are scheduled to fly from midday until six in the evening.
00:30Free workshops, live entertainment and music performances are also planned throughout the event.
00:37Redka and Cleveland Council says the area is expected to be busy, with a park and ride service operating over
00:43the weekend.
