Christmas in Yorkshire has always been a special time in a special place. The Three Wise Men may have started the practice of giving gifts - but it was at Yorkshire around 200 AD that the tradition really caught on. And it was a Yorkshireman from Bridlington who brought the first Turkeys to Britain. In a journey round the three Ridings, Mike Harding discovers that Yorkshire Traditions, such as wassailing, mummers plays and sword dancing are still maintained in the county along with Yorkshire Carols like 'The Holly and the Ivy'.
