00:06the democrat party is going to come to a fork in the road following the 2028 presidential election

00:14after they lose once again they are going to figure out that they don't have a formula for

00:37direction and i say they're going to branch off because the far left is not going to want to come

00:41back closer to the center and the closer to the center guys are going to realize yeah we aren't

00:46going to win another election with them we're going to have to we're going to have to break this off

00:50here we're going to have to come closer to the middle or hit the middle if we're ever going to

00:55win any type of major election ever again well i didn't think that was going to start happening

01:03until after the 2028 election i thought they were going to remain stubborn still you know stuck in

01:09their ways but apparently the cracks are already showing and that crack is cnn and jake tapper i want

02:02influencer with nearly three million followers his rise as a prominent voice on the left is now driving

02:09a wedge between democrats and for good reason hassan piker's past and present is checkered with

02:14controversial if not outrageous if not bigoted state comments by the way if i remember correctly this guy

02:23is chank uger's nephew if i remember correctly yeah the that that chank um this is his nephew um so

03:46mr piker is anti-american anti-women anti-western and anti-semitic no democrat should engage with him

03:51all should seek to push him to the fringe where he belongs unquote hassan piker just recently become

03:56an issue in michigan it's home to a competitive three-way democratic primary for governor dr abdul

04:01al-sayed one of the three candidates and a former cnn commentator announced that piker will join him

04:07for two rallies in april his opponents quickly seized on that slamming the decision is unacceptable

04:13calling piker not somebody that you should be campaigning with at a moment when there's clearly

04:17a lot of pain and trauma across our state our donio sullivan caught up with piker over the weekend

04:22at a no kings rally in new york and asked how he fits into the democratic party's future

04:29you have become uh you have become an issue within the democratic party yourself tell us about that

04:35i don't think i'm necessarily an issue within the democratic party as much as uh i am an issue for

04:41a lot of consultants i don't want fascism to win in this country i don't want republicans to win in

04:46this country we can argue on the methods maybe you think that uh my worldview and my values and

04:52and the policies that i want politicians to represent might be different than yours but at the end of

04:58the day i think we have the same goals i should note i misspoke it's a michigan senate primary not

06:52and on what does his influence tell you about where the democratic party stands today and i guess

06:57is it despite those comments or because of those comments i think it's uh despite those comments a

07:10looking for a lane in a three-way primary he is slightly behind in the polling and like a lot

07:16democrats and a lot of progressives after the 2024 election wants to connect with young people connect

07:22with young men go into the manosphere go into the podcast space it just so happens that hassan piker

07:29uh is aligned with uh a lot of uh dr abdul al-sayed's views on healthcare on taxing the rich

07:37and

07:37billionaires etc he is a bernie aoc zoran guy but with that he has a long uh reputation of saying

07:46all of

07:47the things uh you just played here um i was just talking to you before the the segment i mean

07:52i think

07:52it is a risk for for abdul al-sayed to have him come into the state it's an obvious risk

07:58but he

07:58is grasping for votes in a crowded three-way primary in a state michigan which you remember

08:04from 2024 both in the primary democratic primary and the general election has a lot of arab and

08:10muslim voters and outside of detroit and dearborn and dearborn heights and democrats have been

08:15suffering there and i think he's trying to grab onto them he's doing rallies at michigan and michigan

08:20so he's trying to go after young people one thing i do want to point out jake that you said

08:23in the

08:24intro that he's not a household name the speaking with american men project which was launched to

08:29study young men by democrats after 2024 pulled hassan piker's name among young men he's not well

08:36known at all about half of young people don't know who he is and then uh his fable rating he's

08:42negative nine percent he's underwater with um half of the young people on the left or everybody on the

08:49left knows who he is for sure and of course yeah i only know who he is because of what

08:54i do on a daily

08:54basis like i'm diving into politics on a daily basis so i i know who a lot of these guys

09:00don't know them personally right i've never met hassan piker a day in my life probably never will to be

09:05completely honest i don't think we'll ever be in the same room to be completely honest uh but i know

09:11who these individuals are i i've heard the name i've seen some of the video clips i've played some

09:16of the video clips for you guys in the past uh some of these leftist guys uh uh so yeah

10:13three million subscribers and and all of this influence this guy is crazy we don't care that he's

10:18a democrat he is a lunatic like that is a complete 180 from what they were previously doing complete 180

10:27complete 180 they either because of the past they'll either ignore a major problem or do their

10:32best to try to you know spin it in a different light which which is what i just uh explained

10:37but uh you know let's hop back in worth faves only 20 percent of young men have a favorable opinion

10:42of hassan piker and that's sort of why i say is it worth the gamble interesting um and joey in

10:52tent but the democratic party needs to draw a line in the sand hassan piker and his fellow jew haters

10:56belong on the other side donia sullivan piker to respond to critics who call him anti-semitic he

11:01quoted a few things that piker had said uh especially a zionist dog or zionist pig or i think the

11:07quote was zionist pig dog whatever that means um here is piker's response i've spent my entire

11:13professional media career and far beyond that combating anti-semitism i've been doxed swatted

11:18by neo-nazis for my consistent advocacy against anti-semitism i just also happen to be an avowed anti-zionist

11:25i believe zionism is a very racist ideology it's an ethno-religious supremacist ideology

11:30and it's the underpinning ideology that has caused the genocide of palestinians uh in the hands of

11:36israel and also the united states of america jonah there's a lot to unpack there what's your response

11:42yeah i mean what what piker does that a lot of people of his ilk do is they try to

11:48inoculate

11:48themselves against claims of jew hatred by pointing it out in places that aren't them he he's he's been

11:56very clear pointing things out on the right oh that's anti-semitism these are the tropes they use

12:00and then he'll use the exact same tropes and just sub jew for israel which is the place where all

12:06jews

12:06collectively have a connection to um and is the homeland where more than 50 percent of jews on planet

12:12earth live so it's not he would never say jews control the media but israel controls the media

12:17and you know um the the jews didn't pull us into the war with iran and control the american government

12:23but israel does and so he's able to sort of get away with some of this stuff in these subtle

12:27ways

12:28when really his impact is just as harmful as any out and out anti-semite just he's got a different

12:36and he comes from a different wing of politics it's interesting um politico asked a bunch of democratic

12:40politicians running for president or might who might run for president if they would ever do his

12:44podcast and the the only two jews thinking about possibly running for president rahm emanuel uh and

12:50josh bureau both suggested that they might be willing to i think this gets to something important with

12:54this debate in michigan it's different to go on to his podcast and joust over ideas i think seeing josh

13:02shapiro and hassan piker on his twitch stream would be fascinating i think josh shapiro is smart and they

13:08would have a spirited debate as they say in politics the difference is going out to campaign

13:13with somebody and the candidate uh it's implicitly endorsing his views or suggesting why don't you come

13:19to michigan and campaign with me that's the difference i think candidates should be able to go

13:23on to podcast with people so yeah i just thought that was quite interesting to to see that whole little

13:33exchange of almost a complete 180 of what they previously would have done and what we've all seen

13:42them do in the past which is defend people on the left to no end right you guys remember the

13:49the the uh

13:51the violent but mostly peaceful or fiery but what was it fiery but mostly peaceful as buildings in

13:57the background are like on fire like oh my goodness uh what was that the george floyd protest i believe

14:06that's what that was from right it was fiery but mostly peaceful and like buildings are burning but

14:12behind them and it's just like wait what mostly peaceful you're only saying that because that's a

14:17bunch of leftists that are doing that behind you had that been republicans oh you you would have went

14:23over the top trying to you know use the the worst words possible to describe the incident this is an

14:30act of terrorism these guys are trying to uh destroy america i mean you know like they would have said

14:38some of the worst stuff possible but fiery but mostly peaceful you know we we've seen it time and time

14:42again where these leftist folks uh defend their own and now you're seeing even if it wasn't

14:50completely over the top you know trying to throw him under the bus the fact that they were doing any

14:57type of hey guys look this guy is crazy i think that says a lot i think that says a

15:05setting the stage for the separation i think it's really setting the stage because i i think within the

15:12democrat party they're seeing that yeah these guys aren't they're they they aren't moving closer to the

15:19center as a matter of fact they're going further left they're going further left we've capitulated

15:25to them up until now we followed the you know their their their their guidance for now because we

15:32realize we can't win without them but now they're becoming a liability i think it's time to start

15:38separating from these folks because we're not going to win in in general elections with these folks

15:44we're not going to it's just not going to happen and you you saw you saw a similar thing with

15:49jasmine crockett versus james tallarico uh a race right you saw that you got you got jasmine crockett

15:58who who who is pictured they're both far left but she's pictured as the far left crazy over the top

16:06you know what she is but everybody knows she is a lot of folks don't understand that tallarico is the

16:13same person he just does it in a little bit of a different way you know and so you saw

16:19a lot of

16:20establishment democrats back tallarico and not crockett you see what i mean like it there's there's

16:25this push and pull going on within the democrat party and it's going to be interesting to see how

16:29it all plays out and to see who comes out on top is it going to be the far left

16:35or is it going to be
