00:30He said no matters raised in the Assembly had touched on anyone's personal affairs.
00:35He said the absence of any motion against him showed that attempts to sow discord between PAS and Bersatu had

00:43When asked about recurring claims involving statutory declarations linked to a change in leadership last year,
00:49he urged all parties to move on.
00:51He said the focus should now be on strengthening the coalition's election machinery,
00:56ensuring unity and providing the best service to the people.
01:00Abu Bakar was appointed Mentori Basar in December last year
01:03after Datuk Seri Muhammad Shukri Ramli resigned citing health reasons.
01:09This came after several Assemblymen withdrew support for Muhammad Shukri.
01:12When opening the sitting on Wednesday,
01:15Raja of Perlis Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalulayl said he hoped that Abu Bakar
01:20would be allowed to continue leading the state administration until the end of the term next year.
01:25Perlis has 15 state seats,
01:28with Perikatan National winning 14 seats
01:31and PKR 1 seat in the 2022 election.
01:35Within Perikatan National,
01:37Bersatu now holds 8 seats
01:39and PAS has 3 seats
01:41while another 3 seats remain vacant
01:44following the expulsion of 3 Assemblymen from PAS.
