00:00Miss Close, this is the third episode of the series of Knives Out, and we have usually a murder, we
00:11have a lot of suspects, we have a lot of narrative lines, and a lot of point of views. What
00:21does it mean for an actress working like that?
00:28Well, you wouldn't have a story if you didn't have that, would you? Because it's about trying to figure out
00:34who was the murderer, and you can't do that unless you get to know the people and ask them a
00:42lot of questions.
00:42And that's kind of what's fun about the film, is nobody is what they seem. So it makes it for
00:51a very good, fun entertainment.
00:54I think that's what makes this movie so rich. It's not just a whodunit, it's more than that. It's a
01:04comment on our society, it's a comment on human groups, it's a comment on cults.
01:14And yet at the same time, it's a great murder mystery. And it has fascinating characters. So I think it
01:21really is a brilliant script, and a brilliant job of directing by Ryan Johnson.
