01:01Plus, EU Justice Ministers are meeting in Luxembourg
01:04to discuss whether or not to extend
01:06the legal protection of Ukrainian men
01:08of military age who are currently
01:09living inside the European Union
01:11EU sources told Euronews that a formal
01:14proposal will come out soon
01:15But first, up to 30
01:17European heads of state are meeting in
01:19Tivat, Montenegro today with leaders from
01:21Western Balkan countries. The gathering
01:23is set to push EU enlargement up
01:25the list of priorities. For the latest
01:28we can go now live straight to the town
01:29of Tivat in Montenegro where our
01:31Europe editor Maria Tadeo is this morning
01:33for us. Great to have you with us
01:35Maria. So it's a big day for the Balkans
01:37but what's exactly happening beyond of course
01:39the photo ops and the handshakes?
01:43Well of course, morning Maeve
01:45this summit now about to start
01:48between European Union leaders of course
01:49and the Western Balkan countries
01:52this is an important day for Montenegro
01:59And we seem to be having technical difficulties
02:02there speaking to Maria Tadeo
02:03but don't worry, we'll bring you back
02:04we'll go back to Maria a little bit later in the program
02:07but now we can actually play her exclusive interview
02:10with the EU Council President
02:11that's of course Antonio Costa
02:13This summit has come in a very important momentum
02:17when clearly Montenegro is doing very well
02:22we have already approved the working party
02:25to start drafting the accession treaty
02:28last week we have a new intergovernmental conference
02:32with Albania and the commission this week
02:35proposed to close three chapters
02:37in the Albanian negotiations
02:39We will discuss new proposals
02:41to accelerate this process
02:44to avoid precisely this idea
02:48that we are not going so well
02:50because it's not reality
02:52but it's very important
02:54to increase the trust in the European Union
02:57and increase also the motivation
02:59in the candidate states
03:01to be very clear that we are moving forward
03:03and we want to deliver on this process
03:06And you mentioned Montenegro
03:07of course we've been in the streets
03:09of this beautiful town
03:11and they all say it's 28 by 28
03:13they believe they will hit this deadline
03:15Is that the case
03:16when you've had your conversations bilateral this week?
03:19Well, they are doing very well
03:21Now it's possible to close half the chapters
03:24before summer
03:26and then we have three very hard-working months
03:31to try to close by the end of this year
03:33And of course in 2027
03:35the first half of the year
03:38we are more focused on the electoral election
03:41election elections in different countries
03:43but for sure the second part of the year
03:45we can come back on this issue
03:48and if everything is okay
03:51it will be possible
03:53it's not impossible
03:54to be the 28th member states in 2028
03:58And President, some would argue
04:00because enlargement is now needed
04:02and you say it yourself
04:02it is a geopolitical imperative
04:05some suggest the time to really think
04:08outside of the box
04:09has really come
04:10enlargement will be about merit
04:11but maybe perhaps it's time to look at solutions
04:14as reverse membership
04:16perhaps step-by-step membership
04:18has been signaled
04:19there's the idea of joining without a veto
04:21what's thinking outside the box for you?
04:24There are different things
04:25First, the process is merit-based
04:28and will remain merit-based
04:30Other thing is to simplify the proceedings
04:34Perhaps you can reduce the moments
04:37when we take decisions
04:38To streamline it
04:39To streamline it
04:40This is one thing
04:41Other thing, finally, is the transitional period
04:46We learned from the previous enlargement process
04:49that we always adopted transitional clauses
04:53on policies like agriculture
04:56freedom of movement and so on
04:59And now, because we are talking about
05:03a very challenging enlargement
05:05perhaps we need also transitional clauses
05:08on institutional matters
05:10But it's early to discuss this
05:13But it's important
05:15For instance, the President Vucic
05:17and Prime Minister Rama
05:19came publicly some months ago
05:22proposing some ideas
05:24Chancellor Mertz also
05:25And for sure, we will discuss
05:28a proposal from France and Germany
05:31to simplify the proceedings
05:35to move forward in this enlargement process
05:38What it says to me is that
05:40there is an appetite
05:41to explore different solutions
05:44Is that something that you also feel?
05:46This, perhaps there's not a landing zone yet
05:49but ultimately that is a direction of travel
05:51This enlargement will be different
05:52All of these discussions
05:53about the proceedings
05:55about the transitional period
05:57about the simplification
06:00our rules to work
06:02All of these shows
06:03our common ambition
06:05to deliver as soon as possible
06:07in this enlargement process
06:09This shows the really
06:11willing will
06:13of the member states
06:14and also the candidates
06:16to join the EU
06:18and to achieve this enlargement
06:20And President, you have been
06:21on a tour of the region
06:22You were in Serbia
06:24You spoke with the Serbian President
06:26Aleksandr Vucic
06:27Of course, this is a country
06:29that is fundamental
06:30when you look at the Western Balkans
06:32but some would argue
06:32and the Commission says it openly
06:33that not only the process
06:35is not moving ahead
06:36there's actual serious backsliding
06:38in fundamental questions
06:39like the judiciary
06:40the media as you cited
06:41these are key parts of a democracy
06:43What was your one-on-one conversation
06:45with Aleksandr Vucic?
06:47It's true that last January
06:48they stepped back on the judiciary
06:51but now they are changing the law
06:53You're confident they will do it this time?
06:55They are doing
06:56and they are full committed
06:58to comply with the recommendations
07:02from the Venice Commission
07:04The Venice Commission
07:06has a meeting
07:07the next 12th of June
07:09and immediately after
07:11they will approve
07:13the new law
07:14to correct what they made
07:17in last January
07:18on the judiciary
07:19And do you trust
07:20that President Vucic
07:21will do it this time around?
07:23Because some would argue
07:23there has been many promises
07:24made in the past
07:25but actually not delivered
07:27when you sat down with him privately
07:28did you make it clear?
07:30It's you now that needs to move
07:31It's not a matter of faith
07:32It's very simple
07:35They know what they need to do
07:37and we are here to verify
07:39if they do or they don't do
07:40If they do
07:41we move forward
07:42If they don't do
07:43we're still blocked
07:44My conviction
07:45is everybody understood
07:47is there remain a problem
07:48with the body
07:50who needs to regulate
07:52the freedom of press
07:56and this is an ongoing process
07:58with the civil society
08:00and with the government
08:01You stress that to him?
08:02Yes, of course
08:03And just on a different final point
08:06now
08:06of course
08:07this week
08:07there have been
08:08major developments
08:08when it comes to Ukraine
08:10and Moldova
08:12also by extension
08:13on their negotiations
08:14opening the formal talks
08:15Now Hungary has dropped
08:17that veto
08:18What does that mean
08:19for the European Union
08:20and ultimately
08:20for the three countries?
08:22I think it's very important
08:23first of all
08:24for the bilateral relations
08:26between Hungary
08:27and the Ukraine
08:28and the Prime Minister
08:30Magyar announced
08:31that he believed
08:33that in three weeks
08:34they are in conditions
08:35to release the veto
08:38and we can move forward
08:40We are very advanced
08:42and I believe
08:44that it's possible to open
08:45and at the same time
08:46close immediately
08:47several chapters
08:49because they have already
08:50done what they need to do
08:52to close the chapters
08:55This is a huge symbolic moment
08:56for Ukraine
08:57This process had been stuck
08:58for three years
08:59This is if it happens
09:00and materializes
09:01is the start
09:02of something new
09:04What does that say to you?
09:05Where is this union going?
09:07Does it mean
09:07it's a return to 27
09:08unanimity?
09:09What do you read
09:10politically out of this?
09:11Look, I personally
09:12I believe that
09:14we don't need
09:15to have the unanimity
09:17to open chapters
09:18and clusters
09:19We just need
09:20the unanimity
09:21to close chapters
09:22and clusters
09:24Secondly, that
09:25the bilateral issues
09:28should be
09:30must be
09:31addressed
09:32for the different countries
09:34in order to
09:35don't block
09:36an entire process
09:38and it's very positive
09:39that Prime Minister Magyar
09:41gave this clear sign
09:43that we are now
09:44leading with a new government
09:46with a new policy
09:47in Hungary
09:49and with a new attitude
09:51of Hungary
09:53in the European Union
09:53And just lastly
09:54in your final summit
09:56with Viktor Orban
09:57in attendance
09:57you said nobody
09:58can blackmail
09:59the European Council
10:00Do you feel validated?
10:01Well, the Hungarians
10:03understood
10:04If Viktor Orban
10:05believed that
10:06someone in the Hungary
10:09will rewind him
10:12for trying to block
10:14a decision
10:15of the European Council
10:16he was wrong
10:18Well, President Costa
10:19thank you so much
10:20for joining us
10:21Thank you
10:24Our Maria Tadeo there
10:25speaking exclusively
10:26to Antonio Costa
10:28as that Western Balkan Summit
10:29gets underway today
10:30in Tivat Montenegro
10:32and we can actually
10:32bring in Maria Tadeo now
10:34as those leaders
10:35are gathering
10:36Maria, tell us
10:36what is happening
10:39Good morning, Maven
10:40Of course, technical difficulties
10:42because you see
10:43ultimately this helicopter
10:44that is hovering
10:45around this town
10:46repeatedly now
10:47for almost two days
10:48there's a lot of jamming
10:49because ultimately
10:50you have more than
10:5135 leaders
10:52if you combine
10:52the EU institutions
10:53and the Western Balkans
10:54gathering here
10:55on an important day
10:56with Montenegro
10:57because as I say
10:58multiple diplomats
10:59from this country
11:00insisting
11:01talking to you
11:01and you're saying
11:02this will be 28
11:03by 28
11:0428 member states
11:05by 2028
11:07and you saw
11:08from that interview
11:09with the head
11:09of the European Council
11:10Antonio Costa
11:11telling us
11:12this is a merit-based process
11:13it will always be
11:15but some of those rules
11:16need to be simplified
11:17picking up on that point
11:18the French
11:19and the Germans
11:20now laying out the scene
11:21for a discussion
11:22today here
11:23in which they will
11:23quote
11:24quote
11:25a call
11:25for a more structured
11:26gradual integration
11:28of these candidates
11:29to motivate them
11:30to reform
11:31the more they do
11:32the more progress
11:33they make
11:33the more benefits
11:34diplomats say
11:35they will be able
11:36to tap
11:37including by the way
11:38access to the single market
11:39and that is key
11:40because the single market
11:41is the money maker
11:43for the European Union
11:44just very briefly
11:45for our viewers
11:47the leaders
11:47confirmed to participate
11:49the Serbian president
11:50there was a lot of speculation
11:51as to whether or not
11:52Alexander Vucic
11:53would join the summit
11:55we are told he is here
11:56he landed yesterday
11:57the leader who will not be
11:59and there was also speculation
12:00about him
12:00is the new Hungarian
12:02Prime Minister
12:02Peter Magyar
12:03we are not expecting him
12:04to participate
12:05at the summit
12:06but of course
12:06he is one of the big protagonists
12:08with that breakthrough
12:09over with Ukraine
12:11Okay Maria Steyo
12:12thank you so much
12:13for that live broadcast there
12:14and of course
12:14for more of Maria's
12:16reporting there
12:16on the ground
12:17you can visit
12:17Euronews.com
12:18or keep an eye
12:19on Euronews TV
12:19for her various interviews
12:20throughout the day
12:21but now we can actually
12:23zoom into more
12:23about why
12:24the Western Balkans
12:25are so strategically
12:26important for Brussels
12:27our reporter
12:28Jakob Janis
12:29has this report
12:33top EU chiefs
12:34are gathering
12:34in Tivat
12:35Montenegro
12:36for the EU
12:36Western Balkans
12:37summit
12:38and Albania
12:39Serbia
12:40Montenegro
12:41Bosnia and Herzegovina
12:42North Macedonia
12:43and Kosovo
12:44are at various stages
12:45of trying to join the bloc
12:47and that's cool
12:48but your reporter
12:49is curious
12:49with the EU
12:50already struggling
12:51to manage 27 member states
12:53what's the point
12:54of Brussels
12:55pushing for enlargement
12:56right now
12:58let's see them up
12:59because geographically
13:01the region is completely
13:02surrounded by the EU
13:03and for nearly two decades
13:05a period of relative calm
13:07kept enlargement
13:08on the back burner
13:09but Russia's invasion
13:10of Ukraine
13:11shattered that peace
13:12turning EU expansion
13:14into a critical
13:14security priority
13:16but it's also about money
13:18look
13:18the EU is already
13:19the region's
13:20primary trading partner
13:21and investor
13:22and only last year
13:23the total trade
13:24reached over 87 billion euros
13:27and we're talking about
13:28a massive
13:29two-way exchange
13:29of heavy machinery
13:30chemicals
13:31and metals
13:32flowing back and forth
13:33across the border
13:34and hear me out on that
13:36the EU exported far more
13:38than it imported
13:39running a handsome profit
13:40yet
13:41the EU is not the only power
13:43eyeing the region
13:43oh no
13:44Brussels faces immense
13:46outside pressure
13:47because Moscow
13:48Beijing
13:48and Washington
13:49are all actively competing
13:51for strategic influence there
13:53so if Europe
13:54leaves power vacuum
13:55on its doorstep
13:56others will gladly feel it
13:57and the region has already
13:59become a new front line
14:00for geopolitical tensions
14:01it is most visible
14:03in Serbia
14:03where the government
14:04refuses to align
14:05with EU sanctions
14:06against Moscow
14:07finally
14:08EU capitals
14:09fear adding more nations
14:11will paralyze
14:11decision making
14:12under the current
14:13voting rules
14:14this is why
14:15Albania and Serbia
14:16proposed a
14:17face integration
14:18temporarily waiving
14:19their veto rights
14:20just to get through the door
14:21and as European
14:22Council Chief
14:23Antonio Costa
14:24travels around the region
14:25Brussels is no longer driven
14:27by an idealistic dream
14:28of European unity
14:29this is a cold calculation
14:31to secure borders
14:32because if the EU
14:33doesn't act
14:34the alternative
14:35is a region
14:36politically dependent
14:37on Russia
14:37economically reliant
14:39on Chinese investment
14:40or potentially turned
14:41into the 51st state
14:43of the US
14:44as it was already suggested
14:45with Greenland
14:46or Iceland
14:47or Canada
14:48I mean
14:49you get the point
14:55Jakob Yanis there
14:56on the high stakes
14:56of that EU
14:57Western Balkan summit
14:58that comes
14:59as protesters
15:00are flocking
15:00to the streets
15:01of neighbouring Albania
15:02to speak out
15:03against the construction
15:04of a 1.6 billion
15:05luxury resort
15:06backed by
15:07President Donald Trump's
15:08son-in-law
15:09Jared Kushner
15:10more on that story
15:11on Euronews.com
15:12but now
15:12Ukraine's President
15:14Vladimir Zelensky
15:14has sent an open letter
15:16to the Russian president
15:17in it he says
15:18that Vladimir Putin
15:19is under pressure
15:20from his own people
15:21he calls for a
15:22one-on-one meeting
15:23to end the war
15:24the letter arrived
15:26as Putin was answering
15:26questions from the press
15:28in St. Petersburg
15:28for more
15:29we can bring in
15:30our Ukraine correspondent
15:31Sasha Vakilina
15:32who's on the move today
15:32good morning Sasha
15:33thanks for joining us
15:34it's quite an interesting read
15:36tell us more
15:36about this letter
15:37and what exactly
15:39prompted it
15:41absolutely made
15:42in an unprecedented
15:43step
15:43for the first time
15:45since Russia's
15:46full-scale invasion
15:46of Ukraine
15:47over four years
15:49Volodymyr Zelensky
15:50released the first
15:52open letter
15:53to Putin
15:54addressing Russian
15:55president
15:56directly
15:57and
15:57personally
15:59with a very clear
16:00message
16:00quote
16:01the choice
16:01is yours
16:02now
16:03enough
16:03of war
16:04Ukraine proposes
16:05to end
16:06this war
16:07I am proposing
16:09a meeting
16:10Zelensky said
16:11now he also provided
16:12more details
16:13about the possible
16:14venue for the meeting
16:15he said that
16:15Vladimir Putin
16:16spent half of his
16:1726 years
16:19term as the leader
16:20of Russia
16:20waging the war
16:21against Ukraine
16:22and therefore
16:22there is nothing
16:23for Ukraine's
16:24president to do
16:25in Moscow
16:25same way
16:26as there is
16:26nothing for
16:27Russian president
16:28to do in Kiev
16:28therefore Zelensky said
16:29that the meeting
16:30could possibly
16:31take place
16:31in our mediating
16:32countries
16:33that could be
16:34Switzerland
16:35that could be
16:35Turkey
16:36or that could be
16:37some of the
16:37Middle Eastern
16:38countries
16:38he said
16:39Zelensky also
16:40commented on
16:41who else
16:41could be
16:42participating
16:42in this
16:43meeting
16:43in this
16:44talks
16:44he said
16:44that he would
16:45want to see
16:46the United States
16:47participating there
16:47because he said
16:48Washington is the one
16:49who can guarantee
16:50and participate
16:51in building
16:51the new
16:52security
16:52architecture
16:53in this part
16:54of the world
16:54but also
16:54he said
16:55since the war
16:56is taking place
16:57in Europe
16:58Zelensky believes
16:59that Europe
16:59has to be
17:01at that
17:02negotiating table
17:03and has to be
17:04present at
17:05the future
17:05meeting
17:06but the message
17:07there maybe
17:07is clear
17:08he clearly
17:09and openly
17:10told Vladimir Putin
17:11you can stop
17:12your war
17:14Okay Sasha
17:15Vakalina
17:15thank you so much
17:16for that live
17:17update there
17:18now the ongoing
17:19war in Ukraine
17:20confrontations
17:20with China
17:21over trade
17:22a more hostile
17:23US that no longer
17:24shares the interests
17:25of the EU
17:25and Europe's
17:26innovation problems
17:27just a glimpse
17:28of some of the
17:28serious matters
17:29being discussed
17:30today and yesterday
17:31at the Brussels
17:32Economic Security
17:33Conference
17:33hosted by the
17:34European Policy
17:35Centre
17:35our correspondent
17:36Shona Murray
17:37has been covering
17:38the event
17:38and moderating it
17:39as well
17:39and joins us
17:40now live
17:41this morning
17:41good morning
17:42Shona
17:42just tell us
17:43what's on
17:44the agenda
17:44today
17:46well good
17:47morning Maeve
17:47as we know
17:48and as you
17:48mentioned there
17:49Europe is
17:49facing so many
17:50challenges
17:50on various
17:51fronts
17:51not least of
17:52course the
17:53war in
17:53Ukraine
17:54and the
17:54urgent need
17:55for Europe
17:55to step up
17:56in investment
17:56when it comes
17:57to security
17:58and defence
17:59we also have
18:00an acknowledgement
18:00across Europe
18:01and in Brussels
18:02here that the
18:03US is no longer
18:04the reliable
18:04partner it used
18:05to be
18:05so there needs
18:06to be a move
18:07away from
18:07interdependence
18:08with Chinese
18:09and United
18:10States
18:10tech
18:11there's also
18:11overcapacity
18:12when it comes
18:13to Chinese
18:13exports
18:14so in order
18:15to face
18:15these challenges
18:16there needs
18:16to be massive
18:17scaling up
18:18of investment
18:19because as we
18:19heard from the
18:20famous Mario Draghi
18:21report
18:21Europe could be
18:23in mortal danger
18:24and in order to
18:25speak about this
18:25I'm joined by
18:26Nadia Calvino
18:27President of the
18:28European Investment
18:29Bank
18:29you're very
18:29welcome
18:31tell us
18:32first of all
18:32the AIB has
18:33really changed
18:34in the last
18:35couple of years
18:35because of the
18:36war in Ukraine
18:36and has started
18:37to invest
18:37for example
18:38in security
18:39and defence
18:39something that
18:39would have been
18:40maybe unheard
18:41of 10 years
18:42ago
18:43absolutely
18:432025 has been
18:45a game changer
18:46for the AIB
18:47in this area
18:48we have expanded
18:49the scope of
18:50the activities
18:50we finance
18:51so that now
18:51we are financing
18:52pure military
18:53as well as
18:54funds and
18:55companies that
18:55are active
18:56in all areas
18:57of defence
18:57and we have
18:59also increased
19:00the ceilings
19:00for this investment
19:01so the investment
19:02has multiplied
19:03times four
19:04and we are
19:05on track
19:05to meet
19:05our target
19:06this year
19:06of financing
19:075% of our
19:09total finance
19:10in the EU
19:10devoting it
19:11to security
19:12and defence
19:13and it's not
19:14I suppose
19:15direct kinetic
19:16goods that
19:16you're investing
19:17in is it
19:17or what
19:18how do you
19:18sort of
19:19get away
19:19with not
19:20providing
19:20directly
19:21bullets
19:22and guns
19:22and so on
19:23what kind
19:23of investment
19:24in defence
19:25and so on
19:25Europe
19:26has massive
19:27needs
19:27and the
19:28European
19:28Investment
19:28Bank
19:29is uniquely
19:29placed
19:30to finance
19:31large-scale
19:32infrastructures
19:33with long-term
19:34loans
19:34also research
19:35and development
19:36large-scale
19:37programs
19:37of leading
19:38companies
19:38Thales
19:39or INRA
19:40in Europe
19:40for example
19:41industrial capacity
19:43we're financing
19:43quantum systems
19:44production
19:45of drones
19:46and also
19:47financing
19:48small-sized
19:49companies
19:49that are
19:50supplying
19:51in the supply
19:52chain
19:52of large
19:52European
19:53contractors
19:53and the
19:55emerging
19:55ecosystem
19:56of private
19:56venture capital
19:57funds
19:58that are
19:58specializing
19:58in this
19:59area
19:59actually
20:00in 2026
20:01we're going
20:01to launch
20:02a new
20:02wave
20:03of financing
20:03capital
20:04injections
20:04in this
20:05area
20:05of investment
20:06funds
20:06I mean
20:06also
20:07since the
20:07war in
20:08Ukraine
20:08we've also
20:09noticed
20:09it's been
20:10a major
20:11issue
20:11as
20:11Europe's
20:12energy
20:13dependence
20:13on Russia
20:14initially
20:14but also
20:15the implications
20:15of the
20:16closure
20:16of the
20:16strage
20:16of Ormuz
20:17getting
20:17gas
20:18and oil
20:19to the
20:19European
20:20continent
20:20tell us
20:21about the
20:21plans
20:21for
20:22Europeans
20:22energy
20:23independence
20:25well I
20:25think
20:26that in
20:26the last
20:26years
20:27in the
20:27war
20:27in Ukraine
20:27and now
20:28the escalation
20:29of the
20:29conflict
20:29in the
20:29Middle East
20:30send a very
20:31clear message
20:31to Europe
20:32and that is
20:33we need to
20:33break free
20:34from our
20:35dependence on
20:35fossil fuels
20:36it's clear
20:37and the
20:38European
20:38investment
20:38bank being
20:39the climate
20:40bank
20:40is very well
20:41placed
20:42and is actually
20:43financing
20:43large scale
20:44infrastructures
20:45for example
20:46greets
20:46interconnected
20:47half of the
20:48projects
20:48ongoing
20:48in Europe
20:49are financed
20:49by the
20:50EIB
20:51also
20:51we're
20:52financing
20:52energy
20:53efficiency
20:53for SMEs
20:54research
20:55and development
20:55of new
20:56fuels
20:57clean tech
20:58autonomy
20:59and
20:59Europe
21:00strategic
21:00autonomy
21:01and
21:01economic
21:01security
21:02in this
21:03area
21:03solar
21:04wind
21:04we are
21:05very well
21:06placed
21:06I think
21:06and what
21:07we see
21:07is also
21:08that
21:08there is
21:08a strong
21:09demand
21:10for
21:10EIB
21:11financing
21:11in this
21:12area
21:12so I
21:13think
21:13that we
21:13will also
21:13hit a
21:14record
21:14this
21:14year
21:15in terms
21:15of
21:15financing
21:16for the
21:16clean
21:17transition
21:17to make
21:18it a
21:18European
21:18success
21:19and the
21:19other
21:19piece
21:20we heard
21:20from the
21:20European
21:20Commission
21:21this week
21:21is around
21:21tech
21:22sovereignty
21:22and the
21:22need
21:22for the
21:23EU
21:23and Europe
21:24to have
21:24its own
21:25access
21:25to the
21:26tech
21:26sector
21:27and tech
21:28services
21:28because of
21:29concerns
21:29around
21:29security
21:30and that
21:31is going
21:31to be
21:31requiring
21:32massive
21:33scale up
21:33on
21:33investment
21:34tell us
21:34about
21:34the
21:34plans
21:35for that
21:35and how
21:35quickly
21:36they can
21:36be
21:36done
21:37yeah
21:37absolutely
21:38Europe
21:38needs
21:39to have
21:39technological
21:40leadership
21:41and also
21:41autonomy
21:42when it
21:42comes to
21:43key
21:43components
21:44of these
21:45solar
21:45and wind
21:45infrastructures
21:46for example
21:47in that sense
21:48we are moving
21:49quite fast
21:49only earlier
21:50this week
21:51I was in
21:51Spain
21:52we signed
21:52an important
21:53financing
21:53agreement
21:54for the
21:54research
21:55program
21:55of a
21:56company
21:56called
21:56Inge
21:57Team
21:57present
21:57everywhere
21:58around
21:59the world
21:59that produces
22:00solar
22:00inverters
22:01and that
22:02allows us
22:03to scale
22:03up
22:04Europe's
22:04capacity
22:04in an
22:05area
22:05which is
22:06quite
22:06critical
22:06for the
22:07solar
22:07panel
22:08deployment
22:08so
22:09from
22:10the
22:10European
22:10Investment
22:11Bank
22:11we are
22:11supporting
22:12the
22:12approach
22:13of the
22:13European
22:14Commission
22:14and
22:14accompanying
22:15and joining
22:15the
22:16European
22:16Commission
22:16in ensuring
22:17that
22:17Europe
22:17becomes
22:18independent
22:19not only
22:19when it
22:20comes to
22:20the
22:20fuel
22:21supply
22:21but also
22:21when it
22:22comes to
22:22the
22:22technologies
22:23and
22:23industrial
