00:00anson boone in your film good boy you are definitely a bad boy who that dysfunctional family saves kidnapping for
00:09making him a good boy using terrible methods but what is bad and what is good really
00:17interesting yeah i mean that was when i first read it what always interested me there's the thing about
00:23this film is there's no obvious protagonist or antagonist because you have this boy who does
00:28terrible things but is then put in a terrible situation so you feel sorry for him and then you've
00:33got this couple who are kind of seemingly lovely have really good intentions but then they do these
00:37terrible things to the boy so um it's a really interesting push-pull balance he obviously is a
00:43very bad boy he's kind of we were saying earlier he's a bit of a menace to society and you
00:48kind of
00:48get the impression they've probably chosen him because maybe not many people will miss him yeah
00:53um but it's it's interesting we're definitely not trying to dictate how you should reform people with
01:00this film obviously but it's designed to provoke a conversation about care and you know was this
01:08boy yeah and culture and culture and care and how culture can help people and perhaps this boy was
01:13just you know on the wrong path without culture without enough care and then he was finally given
01:18it
