01:04So what's the story in Bala Mori, wouldn't you like to know?
01:08What's the story in Bala Mori, where would you like to go?
01:14Bala Mori
01:15Here is Miss Houli to tell us that story, but how does it all begin?
01:20Is it raining, sunny, windy, cloudy, playing outside the rim?
01:24Is there a day to stay at home, to play, going to school or nursery?
01:29What's the story in Bala Mori, wouldn't you like to know?
01:32What's the story in Bala Mori, where would you like to know?
01:35What's the story in Bala Mori, where would you like to go?
01:44Hello, I'm Miss Houli. I know you, don't I?
01:49Ah, yes, that's you. So, what's the story in Bala Mori?
01:56Well, today in Bala Mori, you'll have to hold on to your hats, because it's a windy day.
02:03Look at those trees blown away there.
02:07And everyone here is busy going to work and school.
02:18So, what's the story in Bala Mori?
02:20Well, I wonder who this belongs to.
02:26It's too big to be one of the children's, and it's too bright to be one of mine.
02:31Maybe it's one of Archie's. He's always losing things.
02:36Let's see if there's a name tag in it.
02:39No, there doesn't seem to be a name tag on it anywhere.
02:44The owner shouldn't be too hard to find.
02:46There must be someone walking about in Bala Mori with just one sock on.
02:51Oh, the lights seem to have gone off.
02:56And my computer doesn't seem to be working either.
03:00Oh, no. Perhaps they're broken.
03:04I wonder. Let's see if my radio's still working, shall we?
03:12I thought so.
03:14I know what's happened.
03:16We seem to have had a power cut.
03:18That means anything that uses electricity won't be working.
03:23Which means my television won't be working either.
03:28Ah, there's the school bus.
03:30Yes.
03:31I wonder who will be coming to the Bala Mori Nursery today.
03:37There's Akira.
03:40Here's Regan.
03:41And who else, I wonder?
03:44And you, join in the fun too.
03:50Everybody, everyone, come inside and join the fun.
03:56Painting, splodging, splashing, dancing, lobbing, building, make your favourite thing.
04:03Everybody, everyone, come inside and join the fun.
04:24That's it.
04:25Now, children, I've got some bad news.
04:29There's been a power cut, so we can't watch the TV as planned.
04:34But don't worry, we'll still have lots of fun.
04:37And we'll be reading stories and stuff.
04:39OK?
04:41Ah!
04:42Sounds like we have a visitor.
04:48Who could it be?
04:54Hello there, Archie.
04:55Hello, what's who do?
04:56Hello, kids.
04:57Hi.
05:00What's up with you, Archie?
05:02Have you got ants in your pants?
05:03No, no, I leave that sort of thing to plumbers.
05:04I'm very excited about my latest invention.
05:07Here.
05:09It's a hanky with two holes in it.
05:11Yeah, it's brilliant, isn't it?
05:13What's it for, Archie?
05:14So you can blow your nose and still see where you're going at the same time.
05:17Look.
05:20Oh, well, maybe it needs a bit of work.
05:22I think it does, Archie.
05:25So, how's everything going at the nursery?
05:27It's a bit dark in here, isn't it?
05:28The lights aren't working and neither is my computer or my radio.
05:31Oh, right.
05:32Well, maybe I should have a bit of a look at them.
05:34Oh, no.
05:34They're not broken, Archie.
05:36Well, you just said they weren't working.
05:37They're not working because there isn't any electricity.
05:40Oh, right, of course.
05:41Yeah.
05:41Power cut.
05:42Knew that.
05:43Which is rather a nuisance because the children wanted to watch a story on the telly.
05:47Never fear.
05:48Archie's hair.
05:48Yeah.
05:49I actually invented a television that doesn't need electricity.
05:52First stop of the shop.
05:54Toodlepip.
05:57A television that doesn't need electricity?
06:00Well, and never.
06:01Sure.
06:03So, what coloured house will Archie visit first, do you think?
06:13Can you see all the different coloured houses sitting by the sea?
06:18Well, this part of the story in Palomorias, which is the house for me?
06:24Is it yellow?
06:26Is it pink?
06:27Is it orange?
06:29What do you think?
06:30Is it red, green, blue or white?
06:33Which coloured house do you think is right?
06:36Yellow house?
06:37Orange house?
06:39Blue, pink or white?
06:41Green house?
06:43Red house?
06:44Which do you think is right?
06:53Which coloured house are we going to?
06:56Tell me what do you think?
06:58Which coloured house are we going to?
07:01Tell me what do you think?
07:05Red!
07:06Yes, it's the red house, because that's where Penny and Susie live.
07:09A pocket full of roses, a tissue, a tissue.
07:16They all fall down.
07:18Ah, hello Penny.
07:20Hi there.
07:21Hello Susie.
07:23What are you doing down there?
07:24Getting up.
07:25And how are you Archie?
07:27Oh, fine, fine.
07:28Busy inventing as usual.
07:31Ah, how much is the box?
07:34You want to buy the box?
07:35But it's empty.
07:38Just the job.
07:42Smashing.
07:47Now, ah, cotton reels.
07:50Yes, put these on the bill too, please Penny.
07:52But those are just old, empty cotton reels, aren't you?
07:55Yeah, I've got lots of new ones, I'll show you.
07:57Oh, no, no, these old ones are fine.
07:58But, remember Penny, the customer's always right.
08:02Now, what else do I need?
08:03Ah, yes, a pie.
08:05That's more like it.
08:07Now, what kind of pie would you like?
08:09Apple pie, custard pie, berry pie, raspberry pie?
08:13It doesn't matter what flavour it is, just as long as it's extra large.
08:16But Archie, surely you must have a favourite?
08:19Don't argue with the customers, Penny.
08:22I'm sure Archie knows what he's doing.
08:26Right.
08:28One extra large pie.
08:38Perfect.
08:40There we go.
08:40What about the pie?
08:42Hmm?
08:43Oh, er, you have it.
08:44Me?
08:45Oh, great, thanks Archie.
08:47Apple pie, my favourite.
08:49Er, now, a box of chocolate.
08:51Oh, yeah, but just on that shelf.
08:57Too thin.
09:00Too fat.
09:03Ah, just the job.
09:11There we go.
09:12Well, that's everything, I think.
09:14What about your chocolates?
09:16Oh, no, I don't want them.
09:17Just the box.
09:17Help yourself.
09:19Lovely.
09:20It should cover it.
09:22Perfect.
09:23Right, well, cheerio.
09:28You know, I think Archie's gone bonkers.
09:31He was already bonkers.
09:33Now he's gone completely bonkers.
09:40He's gone completely bonkers.
09:41He's gone.
09:42He's gone bad.
09:43He's gone.
09:44Now he's gone.
09:45A couple more times.
09:45Here we go.
09:46That's the television shape.
09:47That's perfect.
09:48Right.
09:49Now we need some knobs.
09:52I'll just stick it on there.
09:58Right. So, we'll have one to turn the telly on and off.
10:03Another knob to adjust the sound.
10:06And we'll have another knob to change the channel.
10:11Right, now I think we're already getting somewhere, Nobby.
10:13Now, what next? Ah, yes, I'm glad I bought the pie,
10:17because I can use the pie dish to make a satellite.
10:20Just get this and stick it in here.
10:23And then, stick it down.
10:27And then, just stick it in here.
10:32What else? Oh, of course, the remote-controlled chocolate box.
10:36I've already covered it in bits of paper,
10:39so I'll just draw on the buttons.
10:42One, two, three.
10:46Turn it on.
10:50It hasn't got a picture at all.
10:53What am I going to do?
10:56Who in Balamori can I get to help me with the picture?
11:01Oh, I know.
11:03I'll call on Spencer.
11:10I'm Spencer, that's my name.
11:13Painting and music are my thing.
11:15So many colours, so much fun.
11:17Making friends with everyone.
11:24Climbing up a musical ladder.
11:26Brushing and I just can't stop.
11:28Climbing up a musical ladder.
11:29It's so bright.
11:30Make your little eyes go bop.
11:31Got colours that you like.
11:33On the back of my painter's bike.
11:36Who knows who we might meet.
11:38Riding down this rainbow street.
11:44Climbing up a musical ladder.
11:47Brushing and I just can't stop.
11:49It's so bright.
11:50Shining in the sunshine.
11:52Everyone's a special friend of mine.
11:54So much fun.
11:55Make your little eyes go bop.
12:04I got tambourines, cymbals and castanets.
12:07Maracas and marimis and a clarinet.
12:09Really doesn't matter what you've got.
12:12You can make music from an old band bar.
12:18Climbing up a musical ladder.
12:21Brushing and I just can't stop.
12:23It's so bright down there by the seaside.
12:25Pretty-ass picture.
12:26Come on, take a ride.
12:28It's so much fun.
12:29Make your little eyes go bop.
12:40Hello, Spencer.
12:42Hello, Archie.
12:43What's the story in Balamori?
12:45Well, there was a power cut at the nursery
12:49which meant that everything that uses electricity couldn't work.
12:52The children were very disappointed about not being able to watch a story on television.
12:58So I decided to make one that doesn't need electricity.
13:02I went to see Susie and Penny at the shop
13:04and bought cotton reels and chocolates and a big box.
13:07Oh, yes, and a pie.
13:10Then I went home and invented a television.
13:15That sounds great, Archie, but what does the pie have to do with it?
13:19Oh, the satellite dish.
13:20Well, not the pie itself.
13:21The pie dish.
13:23Yes, but the problem is my television doesn't actually have any pictures on it.
13:27Hmm.
13:27And you thought I could be of a help?
13:29Hmm.
13:29Not pretty good at painting pictures and all that.
13:31Hmm.
13:32Well, I think I have a few pictures that might fit on your telescreen,
13:36but don't you think that looking at pictures that don't move would be a bit boring?
13:41Oh.
13:42I hadn't thought of that.
13:44Maybe we could shake it a bit.
13:45No.
13:46On your telescreen, you want a bit of excitement and characters that tell a story.
13:51Don't think I'd fit into my television.
13:53How do we do that, then?
13:54Hmm.
13:57Oh.
13:58Take a look at my washi.
13:59I just took it off the line.
14:02I'm sorry, Spencer, but I hardly think the children would be interested
14:05at looking at your washi hanging over my television.
14:08Wanna bet?
14:10Ha!
14:11Archie!
14:11I'm the greatest TV star in the world!
14:15Oh, Spencer, that is brilliant.
14:17Well, you go home and get your television, and I'll find a few more socks
14:22and we'll both meet at the nursery.
14:24Will do.
14:33Hello, you two. Good morning.
14:35Hi, kids.
14:37Hello.
14:40What's that you've got there, Archie?
14:42It's my new television that doesn't need electricity.
14:44How does it work?
14:45Well, turn it on with this button.
14:48Mm-hmm.
14:48Then you press the channel on the remote control.
14:51It's very nice, Archie, but there's nothing to watch.
14:55Not yet, Miss Woolley, but there soon will be.
14:58How would you like to watch the story of the three Billy Goats gruff?
15:02I can't wait.
15:04When's TV time?
15:05Right now!
15:06Oh!
15:11Once upon a time, there lived a troll.
15:13Taddy!
15:15Taddy!
15:16He was a smelly old troll, and he lived under a bridge.
15:20One day, a little Billy Goat gruff came onto the bridge
15:25to get across the bridge to the lovely green grass on the other side.
15:29Suddenly, the troll jumped up and stood in his way.
15:32And where do you think you're going this fine sunny day, little goat?
15:37I'm going across the bridge to the lovely green grass for my breakfast.
15:41Oh, no, you're not.
15:43I'm gonna eat you for breakfast.
15:49Oh, you won't be very full if you eat me for breakfast.
15:53You want to wait for my brother.
15:54He's much bigger and fatter than I am.
15:58The troll waited under the bridge for the next Billy Goat gruff to come along
16:03and waited and waited for the clip-clop of hooves on the bridge.
16:06The troll leapt up out of the water and landed in front of a much bigger Billy Goat.
16:11Ha!
16:12I'm gonna eat you for dinner!
16:15You wouldn't get very full if you ate me, Mr Troll.
16:18You'd be stuffed if you waited a little longer for my older brother.
16:21He'll certainly fill you up.
16:22The troll licked his lips at the thought of a bigger Billy Goat gruff under greed.
16:28Okay, you can pass.
16:30But that is the last Billy Goat that's crossing this bridge today.
16:34And so the troll got back under the bridge and waited and waited.
16:38And suddenly there was a boom, boom, boom!
16:41The bridge started to shake and tremble as the big Billy Goat gruff marched onto the bridge.
16:46Stop! shouted the troll.
16:49Who are you?
16:51The big Billy Goat gruff looked down at the troll and bellowed,
16:56I am the big Billy Goat gruff and you are not going to eat me for your dinner.
17:02With that he put his head down and he charged at the troll with his curled horn sticking out.
17:08He crashed into him, the troll flew high into the air and then splash landed in the water.
17:13And he was never seen again.
17:16Well done!
17:18Let's give him a big clap!
17:19That was fun!
17:20Thanks!
17:26So, what was the story in Balamori today?
17:34Well...
17:37Early this morning, the electricity went off and nothing worked.
17:41Not even the telly.
17:44So Archie decided to invent a telly that didn't need electricity.
17:48But it didn't have any pictures on the screen.
17:51So Spencer used some painting and then told a story using socks from his washing basket.
17:58It was the story of the three Billy Goats gruff.
18:01And it was so funny!
18:03That was the story in Balamori.
18:07See you next time!
18:09Bye!
18:20Balamori!
18:24Balamori!
18:25What's the story in Balamori?
18:27What would you like to know?
18:29What's the story in Balamori?
18:31What would you like to know?
18:44What's the story in Balamori?
18:46What's the story in Balamori?
18:47Which would you like to know?
18:52B-a-b-a-more!
18:56What's the story of Ballymore, don't you like to know?
19:00What's the story of Ballymore, tell us where people go?
