00:00I saw behind this film a kind of radiography of the situation in America today.
00:08I hope so. I like that way of looking at it.
00:14The film is something of a satire, and the idea was to pull back as far as I could
00:22and present as much of the culture as possible without neglecting to tell a story.
00:30And so I hope that the film is reflective of the country and the culture at the moment.
00:38And, you know, my experience is that things feel, like, overwhelming and too much,
00:47and so the movie should feel a little bit overwhelming, a little bit too much.
00:53This is a Western in a certain way.
00:56The Western is the most American genre.
01:00Why do you think that it was the right genre for make a film, for you?
01:04Well, the Western, I do think, is sort of the national genre in America.
01:10And I think there's something very interesting about the Western because it's a very romantic genre.
01:16It's very much about the dream of America, the heroic myth of America.
01:23And I think at its best, it's also contending with the reality of America.
01:27And I think there's a good idea, but it wasn't a loaded rock.
01:27It was an проект that hit the moon in America at China.
