00:00Today is a media day, just a few hours after the end of the Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
00:06And the biggest news today is that the San Antonio Spurs have canceled their practice.
00:10It makes sense. This team has been through a huge physical and mental effort over the last few weeks.
00:17Remember, their previous series against the Oklahoma City Thunder also went all the way to Game 7.
00:23So today for the Spurs, the priority is not to practice.
00:27The priority is to recover, breathe, and get some rest.
00:31Of course, everybody is talking about what Jalen Branson did in Game 1.
00:37Who was the key player for that game? Obviously, Jalen Branson.
00:41But there is another Branson, another Branson who also played an important role.
00:46Rick Branson, his dad.
00:48Maybe a lot of people don't know him as well, but he was also one of the keys of the
00:53game
00:53because of the work he did with the bands and the impact he had from the sidelines.
00:59How? I'll not tell you. Listen to Mike Brown.
01:02Rick Branson was great. He told me to shut the hell up.
01:06Sorry, Mom. He told me to shut up or be quiet.
01:10And he told the rest of the team to be quiet and leave the officials alone.
01:14And, you know, it was great of him because we were all kind of losing our mind.
01:19And I did it. The rest of the guys did it.
01:21And it helped us put our energy elsewhere, especially in the second half.
01:25So, we could say the Game 1 was a victory of the Branson family, one in the court and another
01:33one in the bench.
01:35So, well, even while both teams are still recovering from Game 1, the countdown to Game 2 has already started.
