00:00Like, older sisters pick on their younger brothers, so that's our relationship.
00:10Hey, I saw you and Emily messing around on the carpet even there today,
00:14and I've seen an interview where she says that you'd feel like her younger brother.
00:17Does she feel like a big sister, and how did you guys form that relationship?
00:20Was it instant, or did you have to work on it?
00:22I think it was quite instant, and I think it was partly because, you know,
00:25Emin lives in the States. I've lived in the States in the past.
00:30When a fellow Brit comes, you sort of just adopt each other,
00:34and so that relationship is very true.
00:37The unfortunate side is, like, older sisters pick on their younger brothers,
00:41so that's our relationship. Yeah, I've suffered it.
00:43And finally for me, obviously this film is about otherworldly things.
00:47Have you ever had an otherworldly experience in your real life?
00:51And tell me all about it.
00:52I've had otherworldly experiences in the sense of it's felt otherworldly.
00:58I have those quite often in nature.
01:02I don't need to go to another planet to have those.
01:04So that's happened often.
01:06I've never had a close encounter or anything like that.
01:10There's still time.
01:11Still time.
01:11Thanks.
01:16I think it sent me weak at the knees, they thought of meeting Steven Spielberg,
01:21let alone being in a film of his.
01:24Yeah, it was a very surreal and special experience.
01:28Well, I was sort of struggling with a scene that was coming up.
01:31It was two weeks before, and we'd have these phone calls and text exchanges about a scene.
01:37Like, often.
01:38But this one particular scene, Daniel, I was confused about my character, Daniel,
01:42and whether he is feeling an emotion and whether that emotion should,
01:46he should allow it to come out.
01:48And we were having some discussion, and then just before I went to bed,
01:51I got a text saying, the door is on the latch, just push.
01:55And I was like, that's it.
01:58The door is on the latch.
01:59He just let it, let the emotion come.
02:02And I thanked him the next day, and it turned out that that text was meant for his wife.
02:07And it was an instructional text.
02:08He'd gone to bed, the door is on the latch, just push.
02:11But inspiration comes from everywhere with Steven Spielberg.
02:14Even his notes to his wife are great.
