00:38The European Commission argues that ocean observation is critical for detecting, deterring and mitigating maritime threats, including to critical infrastructures
00:47such as undersea cables, which are under constant threat of hybrid sabotage.

01:00its $368 million deep ocean observation system that was put in place a decade ago.
