The modern battlefield has changed, and what’s happening on Freedom's Frontier right now is unprecedented.

Watch as the US Army’s 2nd Cavalry Regiment, 4th Air Defense Artillery, and elite UK Paratroopers deploy advanced, AI-enabled command systems to completely neutralize incoming drone threats. This is the integration of live data networks and cutting-edge tech designed to move faster, decide faster, and dominate the skies. No more experimental phases—this is real capability actively shaping global defense networks. Watch until the end to see how live combat data is transforming future warfare.

00:10You
00:30Let's go.
00:58Are they stagnant?
01:03Yeah, they're like just moving around in a little position, but they're in the same squad.
01:08They hit a little 120 all in their head.
01:12Okay, that is an RAO.
01:14FL, you got one in RAO.
01:17What does it look like, two-man team?
01:18Right now, all I see is a one-man behind cover, but there's more than likely more than just one
01:23with him.
01:23Okay.
01:23Eagle 3-6, 1st Lieutenant Joshua Pugh.
01:27I'm here with 2-2-CR, Eagle Troop, 3rd platoon.
01:31We're out here conducting flytrap, and that's going to be focused on counter UAS systems and UAS systems.
01:39Five-man enemy OP team stationary under treeline.
01:43Eagle A-0, this is Eagle A-3, fire for effect, over.
01:47Bravo teams, we're going to the right, connect back here, AC-365.
01:51Get done.
01:52Get your boots moving.
02:00Marina, Tel-6, we're launching pair of time now.
02:05You can see what's going on with our adversaries, and we're trying to modernize and push the initiative to identify
02:11new ways and new systems that the Army can mass-produce and utilize to counteract these drug systems.
02:19So my snipers are already in this woodland waiting for us.
02:22The snipers are in there telling me it's a barrier.
02:23And then, Captain, I want you to fly to the east, which is going to be to the right, Captain,
02:30this ODA.
02:31And scan, see if you can see anything popping up.
02:38363-1, we have been to the control.
02:43Over here.
02:45Okay, how about it at the same time?
02:51You're going right.
02:52You're going right.
02:55You're going right.
02:59Rolling T.
03:00Rolling T.
03:01In a rolling T.
03:03Yeah, it lets us troubleshoot them at our level and identify where the weak points are and where we need
03:10to get better as a troop and as an Army overall.
03:14It identifies those big friction points and TTPs and SOPs, even bow drills that we need to refine and further
03:22develop so that, you know, when we take contact via drone, we're not sitting there with our hands in our
03:28pockets.
03:29We know exactly what to do, what systems to do, what systems to use, and what best systems to use
03:33given that scenario.
03:36They've been working very closely with these vendors, both with training, implementation, integration as a whole.
03:45So, I believe that my soldiers, they understand these systems, they understand their best use case, and we need more
03:52events like this.
03:53We need to have drones flying overhead.
03:56We need to react to them.
03:57We need to see when we fail.
03:58We need to see when we succeed.
04:01That will come over time, and that will come over more training time available to get my guys right.
04:10My name is Major Jared Whitaker from 5th Corps.
04:13I am the Technical Integration and Assessment Lead for Project Flight Traveler,
04:17where maneuver units specifically can evaluate and develop TTPs, or tactics, techniques, and procedures, on how best to employ counter
04:28-UAS systems to defeat that threat.
04:32So, this iteration of Flytrap 5.0 is significantly more complex.
04:39There's been a much larger force-on-force period to replicate a more realistic threat environment.
04:46And then we also have many more systems to see how they can be employed by the maneuver units.
04:54So, Project Flytrap is exploring how we get the cost differential between the threat and the effector to defeat that
05:02threat to be closer.
05:05Our munitions, our systems, need to be more cost-effective to balance that out.
05:10Also, to allow for a more rapid refill of ammunition or systems in a fight.
05:18So, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, 5-4 Air Defense, and 6-1 Cav have taken these systems that we've given them
05:24and rapidly learned on the basics of executing and using those systems in roughly two weeks.
05:31So, we're seeing a very quick time from implementation to understanding of how the systems can be used.
05:39So, Flytrap 5.0 will achieve its objectives.
05:42The information we gather here can help inform the acquisitions community and get systems in the hands of soldiers faster
05:49than ever before.
05:50I think Flytrap 5.0 demonstrates the Army and the Joint Forces' willingness and desire to rapidly innovate and find
06:01a solution to a problem.
06:02My name is Staff Sergeant Nunez. I'm with Eagle Troops 2nd Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment.
06:08I am an infantryman, and what we're out here doing is we are implementing new counter-UAS systems into infantry
06:17tactics in order so that we are able to be in any fight, in any front against any enemy.
06:28Right now, we are implementing them at a complete level and the squadron level.
06:36We are just seeing how they work, where he's made for reconnaissance, where he's in the first strike.
06:42And also, we have chammers and photographers for any drone systems in the class 1-4.
06:49And, uh, we are utilizing the means of the best game of a maneuver on the enemy, both within the
06:54square.
06:55It is our job.
06:58Start!
06:59Move it, start!
07:14I am Sergeant James Brooker with the 2nd Cavalry Regiment.
07:18I'm out here at Operation Flytrap.
07:20These drones are very eye-opening.
07:22We're creating this 3-D battle space.
07:24It's kind of nuts.
07:25Always gotta look around, gotta make sure my tubes are looking up.
07:28You know, if it were easy, it wouldn't be worth it.
07:30Uh, it's, it's been hard.
07:32It's, uh, it's definitely been hard to integrate all these systems with our stuff.
07:35Uh, but that's kind of the whole point, right?
07:37Do hard stuff, do great things.
07:40Um, I think it's, like, kind of the purpose and the job of an infantryman to get stuff
07:45and figure out how to use it to defeat your enemy.
07:48Uh, and creating excuses of why it doesn't work is not the answer.
07:52Finding solutions to problems is what you should feel.
07:55Seeing my soldiers use this new technology, it's, uh, kind of eye-opening.
07:59Kind of, like, reminding us that there's people out there with similar capabilities.
08:03And, uh, you have to work harder.
08:04You have to rely on different tactics.
08:07Um, and I think this kind of opens up pathways to, like, shared experiences between allies.
08:13And, like, just on the foot soldier level, like, uh, if the British guys are doing this, we can do
08:18that.
08:19And we can work together and defeat the, the bad guys.
08:22You run for those dudes.
08:23Two, two, three there.
08:28And I will play with the judo.
08:28Two, three, four.
08:29Three, four, one, five, and one.
08:29Okay, yep, one, one, two.
08:30Yeah, you come and see something that ratically effects around theقتantine.
08:32You
