00:00Hello everyone, this is Durf here. We have a very special video today doing something fun.
00:05We're going to do AI generation on, you know, some maybe designs for maybe for the future.
00:12We'll see. But this is the first time I'm doing it. But before that, please everyone come
00:19like, share and subscribe. It's very important to us. So how this idea came along was we're
00:25inspired by a lot of our AI photos in our fans group. So for those who don't know right now,
00:31we have an annual voted doll. So everyone comes in to vote in our Facebook group to vote for our
00:38next doll. And this year the theme is steampunk. And the vote is still going on. I think right now
00:44we're voting for the sculpt. And in the future, you can vote for the outfit and all the shoes and
00:50everything. So for those who wants to join, please come to our Facebook and come to vote.
00:56But meanwhile, we see a lot of, you know, discussion going on. And one of them is we see a
01:02surge on AI
01:03photos on how the design should look like. And they're very inspiring. Very, very fun. So because
01:10of that, inspired by that, our team, you know, we have also tried to make some fun photos out of
01:18AI.
01:18So our team has already made some photos. And this is the first time I'm doing it. So yeah,
01:26why don't we start? So evil eye right there. She's not evil today. But she has taught me how to
01:33start
01:33making photos. And I'm following her instructions now. So first of all, please, so we're going to
01:41use Nano Banana from Google. So that Nano Banana is the image generator AI from Google. And to link
01:49with that, first we go into Gemini.Google, which Gemini is the language processing one. They're
01:55interlinked. So we can use Gemini to help generate photos with Nano Banana. All right, so let's start with
02:02Gemini going to Gemini.Google.com. And so let's start asking. So this is already a new chat. So what
02:12we're going to do is we're going to click on create image. And then so we're going to use Frida
02:20as our
02:20base. So what's going to happen is so it will help the AI to generate a better image if you
02:28can show
02:29a doll that you want to customize or change. So in this case, I'm going to use Frida. So I'm
02:33going
02:33to show a picture of Frida and I'm going to drag it from our photo into here. You can take
02:38your own
02:38photos. It could be Frida, it could be others. Or you can use some photos from the internet and just
02:45say this is the base that I want to use Frida to change. And then let's just say that I'm
02:51going to
02:51put the prompt in because the theme this year is steampunk. So I'm going to say create, oh,
02:57why is it in Chinese? Steampunk inspired doll outfit for this doll. And let's see what generates.
03:12So it does take a little time, which is okay, because, you know, sometimes you just need like
03:18some more time to do good, to do great things, right? Never rush a, so I, what is a good
03:27saying
03:28for like never rush to get good quality? Is there like an idiom for that? Oh, good things come to
03:41those who wait. And that's a good one. I always heard about good things come in small packages.
03:45Is that something that? That's okay. Well, anyway, I think that, I think if even if we haven't used
03:52that phrase, but good things come to those who wait, I think it's a great saying. I think everyone,
03:59but so the images is generated now. Wow. Wow. So you can see this is Frida in steampunk, kind of
04:11a
04:12violet kind of theme in here, right? So let's just see that after this generated image, of course,
04:18you can play around with it. You can say, you know, add more, you know, pockets or something
04:24into it. But let's just say that, um, can we change the, as in maroon color into more olive green
04:35style? Let's just see what happens to it. So you can, so, so the good thing about AI is
04:40that you can talk to, right? And then it can, it will do based on what you're, you're trying to
04:47talk
04:47to what you're trying to, I want, I don't want to use command, but essentially I command them to do.
04:54Uh, but okay, let's see. So he has recolored the doll's dress, transferring maroon elements into a
04:59rich, deep olive green, as you can see here. I like the green much more. Um, yep. So, uh, yep,
05:09this is how you start and you can talk to it more. You can say, I want to put a
05:12hat on it. Um, maybe I
05:15should add that just to plan. Can you, uh, also, uh, design a hat and put it on this doll?
05:26Let's
05:26see what it comes out with. Good things come to those who wait. So it seems like AI is
05:45using AI to find out. Oh, wow. There's a beautiful hat. So, um, yep. Again, you can play with it.
05:50Um,
05:51uh, you can change the boots, you can add on things to it. And, um, uh, so that is how
05:56we generate images.
05:57Um, so again, what we worry is that, that, you know, a, the computer, they generate really fabulous
06:07pictures. We're worried that, you know, in our engineering, we just cannot match what they do.
06:14Um, or maybe because, you know, if we have to make it, it's going to be something that is so
06:19pricey
06:20that, um, you know, it's just maybe unaffordable for, you know, everyone. So, um, um, I think, um,
06:29our team, um, they has also made some images, right? And, um, uh, I think in their process,
06:36they have stripped it down a little bit. So to make it more simple, so that it's easier to make
06:39and also, um, make it more affordable for everyone. Uh, so, um, I think I will show the images that
06:46other people did. I'm not going to change mine, cause it's so elaborate, so beautiful. I don't want
06:51to strip it down, but you know, in reality, uh, we cannot have everything, but, uh, anyway,
06:57this is how we generate this. Um, so, uh, this is the first, um, prompt that I did. Um, yeah.
07:20All right. Now onto the second part. Um, I'm trying to attempt something new. Let's just say,
07:25um, I want some part of, um, uh, uh, uh, to add something to this picture. Uh, of course,
07:32this is the photo that we generated just now, but I don't know how to say it and I want
07:37to
07:38show it. Um, so, um, what I did is, um, I drew a picture. Um, so, um, for those who
07:46don't know,
07:46um, you know, Carrie and my mom, they're the artists. I'm not the greatest artist,
07:51but, uh, let's see, let's say, uh, I drew this picture. Um, actually, who am I kidding? It's a great
07:57picture. I love this picture. It has six fingers. I mean, who, who in the world can, you know,
08:02do something so creative as me, but anyway, let's just say that I want her hairstyle,
08:07right? Uh, just to add on to the, the, the doll itself. I don't know how to describe it. Let's
08:12just say, I don't know how to describe it. I just want her hairstyle. And let me see how I
08:16can, um,
08:18uh, uh, uh, see if I can put this as a prompt to say, okay, and to design a doll
08:22to put this into,
08:23um, the, um, the doll. So, um, let's go back to, um, uh, here it is. So, I am going
08:36to drag this
08:40up, uh, not this picture to here, and, uh, let me ask. This is a very crude drawing by me,
08:54and, um, I know I can't draw. Yeah, I have to. I'm sorry, Gemini. You know, my mom always taught
09:03me
09:03to be polite, so I should do that. But, uh, but I really want her kind of hairstyle.
09:12So, can you, um, use the doll you created without the hat?
09:21And change the hairstyle to a kind that looks like the drawing. So, let's see what it comes out with.
09:37It's just amazing how things like this, like, uh, AI, how, how much has progressed. Pretty sure by,
09:44what, one or two more years it can do even better. And I'm really excited to see because, um, you
09:49know,
09:50all the photos in the fans group are just, wow, wow, wow. I'm kind of intrigued on what, what commands
09:55they gave to the, the, the, and which AI they used to. Okay, so it has generated, let's see. Oh,
10:02wow.
10:03So, you can see it's kind of like the hairstyle that, um, they, I think they changed the face a
10:07little bit. Um, actually it looks close enough. Yeah, uh, but yeah, you can see even for, um,
10:15you know, people like me who doesn't draw very well, you can say, I just want this kind of concept.
10:20And, uh, you just tell feed it and say, just so you don't know how to describe it, that they
10:24can try to
10:24change the hairstyle to make kind of like that. So, um, anyway, um, this is just for me today.
10:32Um, just showing me playing with AI and I am very intrigued and excited to see if you also have,
10:40you know, play around with AI and also like generate your own images. And, uh, you know,
10:45we will see maybe like the AI photos become so great that, you know, it gives inspirations,
10:52that maybe we make some dolls out of it. Maybe in our next fan edition, we can do something like
10:57that.
10:58Or maybe, you know, you can generate all these photos and see like, you know, get a lot of
11:02attention. You know, we already see some photos having like more than a hundred likes. So,
11:06so this is kind of, it's really, really fun. So, uh, I'm excited to see what happens next.
11:12And, um, we'll also show pictures of, um, what our colleagues have generated and you can leave
11:17in the comments, do you like mine better or theirs better? Um, of course they're more economical and
11:23mine's more elaborate, but anyway, a win is a win. But on that note, again, please like,
11:28share, and subscribe. This is Durf, signing off.
