00:06Hello, my name is Mr. Bloom and I'd like to come to see you soon.
00:11I'm out on the road, you see, here and there, so that we can get together and have some fun.
00:20I'll help you out if there's work to be done.
00:24So, where is it you like to go? Call me up and let me know.
00:30What is it you like to do? I'll pop along and do it too.
00:35Cities, towns, the countryside, I can travel far and wide.
00:39I'm all about and everywhere. I'm here and there, here and there, I'm here and there.
00:59Oh, hello there, tiddlers. How are you tiddling? Mr. Bloom here.
01:04Now, I like going out and about, yeah.
01:07I like going here and there to do lots of fun things and find out about new places.
01:11And I'm wondering, what do you like to do where you live?
01:15Perhaps you might like to go swimming with your family or go to the park with your friends.
01:19Oh, hey, looks like someone's got in touch. Right, well, let's see who it is.
01:25My name is Finley and I love trains!
01:29My mum works at the railway museum near where I live.
01:33And sometimes I get to help out too.
01:42Would you like a leaflet?
01:43Yes, please. Thank you.
01:46Lots of people who live nearby also help out.
01:49And they show visitors around the museum.
01:52Oh.
01:55There's a mother railway and sometimes I get to control the train.
02:02It works just like a real railway.
02:05I can make the train stop.
02:09And start again.
02:14This button moves the tracks.
02:16And this button changes the signals.
02:24Come along, Mr Bloom.
02:26I'll show you around.
02:35Hey, well, that sounds like a great idea.
02:38I'd love to come.
02:48Whereabouts will I end up next?
02:52Let's put my route finder to the test.
02:56It could be a beach, a village or a city, museum or a school, a garden so pretty, a church
03:02or a station or a river or town.
03:03I just can't wait till you show me around.
03:06Tiddlers, I'm on my way.
03:09So where am I today?
03:24I wonder where Finlay is?
03:27Hey, I know.
03:28I'll try the ticket office.
03:33Excuse me, I'm looking for Finlay.
03:35I'm Finlay.
03:36Oh, so you are.
03:38You just need a ticket from here and you'll be rooting to it on the train.
03:41But I'd like a ticket for the museum.
03:43The museum is free.
03:44You don't need a ticket.
03:46Oh, the museum's free.
03:47Well, can you show me around?
03:49OK.
03:54Wow, look at these trains, Finlay.
03:57These engines, they carried all sorts of things.
04:00They're proper old, aren't they?
04:02Yeah.
04:03Hey, what are those over there?
04:04The signals.
04:07Wow, so what have we got here?
04:09The signals and points.
04:11Oh, can you show me how it works?
04:12Yeah.
04:13You can turn these knobs and see the signals up there.
04:18Oh, yeah.
04:19It's making the lights change and the lights tell the trains what to do.
04:23Green means gold.
04:25Gold!
04:25So that means the train can go.
04:27And double yellow means it's safe to pass but be prepared to slow down.
04:33Amber means ready to go.
04:35And red means stop.
04:39Wow, that's very clever, isn't it?
04:41In fact, that's a bit like the traffic lights we see on the road, isn't it?
04:45Yep.
04:45Hey, let's go and see what we've got over here.
04:47OK.
04:51Tiddlers that live nearby like visiting the museum.
04:59This is Keris.
05:00This is where you move and the driver uses this to move the train.
05:08She knows a lot about trains.
05:09This is where you put the coal and wood to burn it to make the steam because it's the steam
05:16train.
05:16Wow.
05:19Hey, hello there, tiddlers.
05:21Oh, you've been having a good time.
05:23Yeah.
05:24Yeah.
05:24What's your favourite thing, Keris?
05:26I like the way that the steam trains have to have coal and wood to go or they wouldn't move.
05:33What about you, Noah?
05:34I like the Royal Mail train, what takes all the parcels and letters.
05:39These trains, they carry loads of different things, don't they?
05:42What other things do you think they might carry?
05:44They can carry people and food.
05:47They must be very strong, mustn't they?
05:49And I tell you what, seeing all these trains, I think I'd like to have a ride on one if
05:52I could.
05:54Ooh.
05:55Hey, now what do you think that was?
05:57A train.
05:58Yeah.
05:58Do you think we could catch it?
05:59Yeah.
06:00Well, come on, let's be quick.
06:19Hey, Finley, who's this?
06:20This is Ian, the engine driver.
06:22Hello.
06:23Oh, it's nice to meet you, Ian.
06:24And you.
06:25And I tell you, I'm very excited about riding on your steam engine.
06:28Well, come aboard.
06:37Right, the driver, Ian, how does a steam engine work?
06:40Well, to make it go, you need coal and you need water.
06:43Now, the coal's in the bunker behind you, and you shovel it from there into the firebox.
06:49Right.
06:49Here we go.
06:54Right, so we've got the coal in there.
06:56What happens next?
06:57Well, the coal will burn and it heat the water and it steam.
07:00And once we've made enough steam, we're ready to go.
07:04Would you like the sound of whistle?
07:06Would I?
07:06Here we go.
07:07Three, two, one.
07:12Right, thanks, Ian.
07:14I'll see you later on.
07:30As the train chugs along, it's time for Fidley to help the conductor clip the tickets.
07:36Please can I have your ticket?
07:42Thank you very much.
07:46There you go.
07:49Top job.
07:54Hey, look at the lovely countryside.
07:56I can see why Fidley loves where he lives.
08:07Wow, Geris, what can we see out the window?
08:10I can see the water and I can see the shore.
08:18Yeah, I can see the hills over there.
08:22Well, you can see where we're going and I can see where we've been.
08:26Huh.
08:28Now, is this train moving faster or slower than a modern train?
08:32Slower because the coal and wood need time to burn.
08:37That's right.
08:38I think I like going slow.
08:47Hey, Noah, it's good travelling by a train, isn't it?
08:50Yeah.
08:50Yeah, can you hear the engine?
08:52Yeah.
08:52It's going...
08:59What type of things can trains bring?
09:03Well, clothes, food, all these sort of things what people would like to buy in shops.
09:10Yeah, there's loads of different types of trains and loads of things that can be carried by trains.
09:15Ooh, hang on.
09:17Ah, it's the rope finder.
09:19I think it wants to show us lots of different types of trains.
09:23Trains are a great way of getting things from one place to another.
09:30Trains can carry people and all sorts of other things for shops and factories.
09:36They can get to places quickly by going through tunnels and over bridges.
09:43This train even travels under the sea all the way from England to France.
09:49Some trains go at super fast speeds.
09:52Hey, this train will really get you somewhere in a hurry.
09:55And our steam train has arrived.
10:00And after a lovely trip, we're back at the station.
10:03Come on, tiddlers.
10:11Ooh, and look at that.
10:12That's a smart little engine, too.
10:14Although, it's looking a bit empty to me.
10:16How do you think we could colour it up?
10:18We could find some plants in it.
10:20That is a tough idea, Keris.
10:22Yeah.
10:23And then everyone who comes to the station can enjoy it.
10:25So, come on, let's get cracking.
10:33Hey, you know what these are reminding me?
10:35These red flowers.
10:37Was it the red mail carriage?
10:40That's right.
10:41Yeah, the red mail carriage.
10:43Yeah.
10:49That's it, Keris.
10:50Where are you going to put this one?
10:52Yeah.
10:52In there.
10:53Go on then.
10:53Dig that a little bit deeper.
10:55And then we'll have a nice yellow carriage, won't we?
10:58Yeah.
11:05This is a cracking job.
11:07Oh, it's looking a lot more colourful now, isn't it?
11:10Yeah.
11:10But you know what?
11:11What do all carriages need?
11:14Passengers.
11:15Passengers.
11:16Passengers, yeah.
11:17The train needs passengers, doesn't it?
11:18So, I've got some passengers.
11:21Pop that in there, Keris.
11:22Ooh, who's that, Hayley?
11:25Oh, Fiona.
11:27And what about that, Noah?
11:29And Ben.
11:30Pop yourself in that carriage there.
11:32And then, Finlay, I think you need to be driving this train, don't you?
11:36It's Finlay.
11:37There we go.
11:39The train's ready to go.
11:41Oh, hey.
11:43And you know what?
11:43I think it's time that I went.
11:45Thanks for inviting me here today.
11:46I've had a top time.
11:48You're welcome.
11:49Have you had fun, Tiddlers?
11:50Yeah.
11:51Yeah.
11:52Well, I best be off, but join me soon when I'll be...
11:55Here and there.
11:57Bye-bye.
11:58Bye.
12:02Where is it you like to go?
12:04Call me up and let me know.
12:07What is it you like to do?
12:09I'll pop along and do it too.
12:12Cities, towns, the countryside.
12:14I can travel far and wide.
12:16I'm all about and everywhere.
12:18I'm here and there.
