00:00The Iranian axis is trying to say that they have ultimate command over Lebanon and whatever transpires in these talks
00:06and if the Islamabad talks resume, Lebanon will not be in Washington but it will be on the Islamabad table,
00:13meaning that Hezbollah will be given ownership of Lebanon again.
00:18And this is something very far-fetched. What we saw yesterday and many of the reports which have been leaked
00:23are not even credible and I think that Hezbollah has no way out of this because simply they are trying
00:30to buy more time or simply run out the clock because they believe as we come closer and closer to
00:35the Israeli elections, Netanyahu cannot really launch a full-scale war.
00:40What we saw yesterday, regardless of the details, which I personally doubt, is that Netanyahu was reminded that it was
00:48U.S. interests which are primary here and what they are trying to do when it comes to the Hermal
00:53Straits or what J.D. Vance and this U.S. or America-only camp is trying to do, not to
01:00get Israel to get the U.S. more implicated in Lebanon.
01:03This doesn't mean that the Lebanese are off the hook and this doesn't mean that the secessions of hostilities will
01:09happen overnight.
01:10As I was with you on standby, there was information to the AFP that Hezbollah has rejected this partial ceasefire
01:17and simply what we're seeing with the exchange of fire in the south of Lebanon and the total destruction of
01:24the south of Lebanon indicates that the Israeli army will not withdraw anytime soon.
01:28The only way to get the Israelis out is simply to disarm Hezbollah and this is something which will require
01:34a lot of time and more importantly will require a commitment from the Lebanese side to start the ball rolling.
