Some mornings have a way of changing tone in an instant.
A man steps out and heads down toward the front step.
"My partner was leaving for work at 7:00," the filmer, Nicolle, told WooGlobe.
He loses balance and falls on the step. His foot hits an icy patch and slides out from under him.
It is a quick reminder of how unforgiving winter surfaces can be, even right outside the door.
The moment was filmed in Fife, Scotland.
