2027 Presidency: Will Nigeria's Opposition Unite or Fracture?

The race for Nigeria's 2027 presidency is heating up, but unity is already a distant dream for many political parties. With 12 parties unveiling their candidates, the landscape is anything but cohesive.

The APC presents a united front with Bola Chenobu, but the opposition is a different story. Divisions are deep within the PDP, with factions backing either Goodluck Jonathan or Sani Abacha.

The ADC is similarly fractured, with Abubakar and Kachukwu on opposing sides. Even the SDP is not exempt from internal struggles, featuring Prince Adeyemi Adebayo and Adeyemi Laakim.

With Peter Obi, Donald Duke, Governor Makinde, and many others in the mix, voters face a crowded and divided field. The hope for reconciliation seems to be fading as each faction holds firm.
