00:05as details on a draft peace deal remained increasingly uncertain.
00:10Japan's southernmost region of Okiwana braces for tropical storm Jiangmi,
00:15causing the cancellation of more than 400 flights.
00:21The United States said it conducted several strikes on Iranian military sites over the
00:26weekend as details on a draft peace deal remained increasingly uncertain.
00:32U.S. Central Command wrote that the strikes on Iranian radar and command and control sites for
00:37drones were in response to Iranian aggression, including the shootdown of an American drone,
00:42without providing further details.
00:45Meanwhile, Kuwaiti air defenses intercepted what its military called hostile missile and drone
00:51attacks on Monday, as air raid sirens sounded across the country.
00:54The tensions come as U.S. President Donald Trump reportedly hardened negotiating terms
01:00with Iran to end the war, according to U.S. media.
01:04Tehran, however, has previously cast doubt on Trump's assertions and the sides remain far apart
01:10on key issues.
01:11U.S.
01:44Any tweaks to the draft could further delay an agreement to formally end the war and reopen the Strait of
01:50Hormuz
01:50after weeks of fraught negotiations marked by sharp rhetoric and occasional flare-ups of violence.
02:02Japan's southernmost region of Okiwana braces itself on Monday for Typhoon Jangmi, expected to bring severe rain and storms.
02:11The Japan Meteorological Agency said on Monday that the island faces high risks of landslides and high waves as well.
02:19The agency predicts that the tropical storm will move on to the Amami region on Tuesday.
02:25Heavy rain is expected on Wednesday in the coastal counter region, which includes Tokyo.
02:31Meanwhile, authorities have issued evacuation orders for elderly people and others who may need more time to evacuate in parts
02:39of both the Okiwana and Amami regions.
02:42More than 400 flights have been cancelled due to the storm.
02:46According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, Japan experienced 27 typhoons in 2025, which was higher than average.
03:01Russian forces launched a new series of airstrikes on Ukraine on Sunday night, attacking its territory with more than 200
03:08drones.
03:09Most of them were shut down, but 14 drones were recorded hitting 11 locations.
03:15The air attack on the southeast of the country damaged a kindergarten, a medical office, several apartment and private houses,
03:22and farm buildings.
03:23According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukraine received an iris T-surface-to-air missile launcher from Germany on Saturday.
03:29He said strong air defense can give more protection for the people and deprive Russia of its last advantage.
03:36Meanwhile, Ukraine drones again attacked oil infrastructure in various regions in Russia.
03:42In the Saratov region, an oil refinery, one of the largest in the Volga region, was hit.
03:47Kiev denied Russia's claims that a Ukrainian drone had struck the Russian-occupied Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, the largest in
03:55Ukraine and Europe.
04:02Fasil Opinica is 87 years old.
04:05He lives in Galatsi in Romania, nearby the building which was struck by a Russian drone on Friday.
04:10From his apartment on the 10th floor, he now regularly scans the sky and the surroundings out of fear for
04:16a new incident.
04:26In the case of an emergency, Fasil also worries that he would not have enough food supplies to last until
04:33rescuers arrive.
04:59The Russian drone had been part of an overnight attack on Ukraine and changed its trajectory.
05:04what led it to crash in Romania, a NATO member state.
05:08It is unclear what caused the drone to change its course, but the incident added to concerns that the war
05:14could spread across the alliance's borders.
05:24NATO is conducting military exercises just 30 kilometers from the Finnish-Russian border amid renewed drone incursions within NATO territory.
05:32On Friday morning, at least two people in the Romanian town of Galati were injured by a drone as Russia
05:38attacked Ukrainian infrastructure near the border.
05:41It's the most dangerous incident out of several recent encroachments into NATO territory.
05:47Baltic countries have reported Russia has hijacked Ukrainian drones, sending them into Baltic and other state territories.
05:53Lithuania was forced to close its airspace on a number of occasions, causing major disruption.
05:58NATO Secretary-General Mark Rudder has vowed to defend every inch of NATO territory,
06:03with the U.S. ambassador describing the violation into Romania as reckless.
06:08So while traditional capabilities like battle tanks, Chinook helicopters, armed forces are still vital to protect Europe's eastern flank,
06:16particularly as a deterrence against any Russian invasion,
06:19exponential growth and investment into counter-drone systems and surveillance are more vital at this moment with ongoing Russian aggression
06:27and drone incursions.
06:28I think the big thing there, I think, is having this, you know, kind of autonomous kill web of these
06:33different drones and things,
06:35all these unmanned capabilities.
06:38So one, we're preserving that power.
06:40So when we do get attacked, the counter-attack that comes from the allies from NATO,
06:45that we have all those humans still able to go to the fight.
06:48Finland retained conscription into the army for young males even after the Cold War ended.
06:53Given its 1,350-kilometer border with Russia, it's always been on guard,
06:58as the Finns say the threat from the Kremlin never went away.
07:02Having joined NATO in response to Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine,
07:06Finland says along with allies it's collectively learning from the Ukraine more,
07:10including advancements in drone and anti-drone technology.
07:15We have done that alone centuries, but now we are not alone and we have allies.
07:21And as we are learning from each other and in developing our interoperability capabilities,
07:28then it's really important to have our allies and exercise with them.
07:32And we don't have only our conscripts, but we also have our reservists.
07:37Because a reservist is the backbone of the Finnish army.
07:41And we are learning and we are adjusting our ways to think.
07:45And we are looking really closely how the war is developing as it has changed.
07:52How much it changed the battlefield, that's a soldier's task.
07:56Around 10,000 soldiers from seven allied countries, including the U.S., U.K., France,
08:01as well as the Finnish army conscripts, are taking part in the Northern Star and SWORD 26 exercises.

09:20Se unieron a la manada.
09:22Vamos a segunda vuelta para derrotar la tiranía, el absolutismo.
09:27En 21 días vamos a cambiar la historia de Colombia para siempre.
09:34The polarized vote comes as the Trump administration is playing a more aggressive role in Latin America
09:39than any U.S. government in decades,
09:42placing mounting pressure on countries like Colombia, Mexico and Ecuador to crack down on crime.
09:54Malta's Labour Party has secured a historic fourth consecutive term in office
09:59as Prime Minister Robert Abella on Sunday claimed victory in the small Mediterranean island general election.
10:06The Labour Party had won the election by around 18,000 votes,
10:11according to party estimates cited in local media reports.
10:15According to Abella, the outcome showed his party had, quote, won a strong mandate.
10:21The Maltese Prime Minister and his Labour Party bet on economic stability,
10:26riding on the success of last year when they recorded the fastest GDP growth at 4%
10:32and continue to shield the smallest EU nation from global crisis.
10:37Yet concerns remain the Middle East conflict could have an impact on tourism
10:41due to spiraling aviation fuel costs and drive-up inflation.
10:47Abella's main rival and Nationalist Party PN candidate Alex Borg
10:51conceded defeat on Sunday, saying in an address posted on social media
10:56that he had personally called Robert Abella to congratulate him on the win.
