00:20Terminal 1. Passenger building. Direct hit.
00:24Tonight, Kuwait International Airport is dark, flights suspended, people in hospital, and CENTCOM is calling it defeated. Here's why that
00:34doesn't add up.
00:35Early this morning, Iranian drones struck the passenger terminal at Kuwait International Airport, Terminal 1, the main hub, the building
00:45where civilians check in, board planes, go home.
00:48Kuwait's defense ministry confirmed it. Hostile drones hit Terminal 1, injuring a number of people and causing damage.
00:57Defense ministry spokesman, Brigadier General Saud al-Otaibi, called it a criminal Iranian aggression, saying the drones were a part
01:05of a coordinated hostile operation that damaged the passenger building and disrupted airport operations.
01:12Several people were injured and taken to hospital. Flights and air traffic across Kuwait were suspended in the wake of
01:19the attack.
01:19And here's the kicker. Terminal 1 had only just reopened on Monday after being damaged in a previous Iranian attack.
01:28It was hit, repaired, then hit again.
01:31So what did the U.S. military say? CENTCOM stated it had successfully defeated a series of Iranian missile and
01:39drone attacks across the Gulf, and also rejected Iranian claims that the U.S. Navy's 5th Fleet Headquarters in Bahrain
01:47had been hit.
01:48But here's the problem. Kuwait, a U.S. partner, a Gulf ally, is telling a completely different story. Their own
01:56civil aviation authority confirmed the strike.
01:59Their own defense ministry confirmed the injuries. Their own state media confirmed the flights are grounded.
02:05You can't successfully defeat an attack that put people in the hospital and shut down a country's main international airport.
02:13And this didn't come out of nowhere. Iran says the escalation began after a U.S. aerial projectile struck an
02:21Iranian oil tanker near the Strait of Hormuz, damaging its engine room.
02:26The RGC responded by targeting what it described as U.S.-linked bases and facilities across the region, saying all predetermined
02:34targets were destroyed.
02:36Two narratives, one airport. One is backed by official Kuwaiti statements, injured civilians, and grounded flights.
02:44The other is a press release from CENTCOM. Kuwait's defense ministry spoke. Kuwait's civil aviation authority spoke.
02:52The empty runways speak. One of the most serious Iranian attacks on civilian targets in the Gulf since this conflict
03:00began.
03:01And the official U.S. response is successfully defeated. You decide which version you believe.
