00:00Absolute violent tornado. Just violent.
00:02Gotta get ready to back up. If it comes at us.
00:06Please tell me not to sit in the house here.
00:08Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh.
00:12There's people.
00:15Get in! Get in the car!
00:17Please, God help!
00:18Open the door. Get in.
00:19Hurry!
00:21Do you know where the near sausage is?
00:23Yes.
00:23Hey, let me get that dog.
00:25Where's the dog?
00:26Where's the dog?
00:27Come on, Neil.
00:28Hey, come here, buddy.
00:29Millie, come on, Millie, come on!
00:34It's May 2nd, 2024, and I'm chasing the Supercell thunderstorm as it's about to produce a powerful tornado to the
00:41small town of Anson, Texas.
00:43While today's environment isn't particularly favorable for tornadoes, an outflow boundary spawned from a dying storm is racing north and
00:51soon intercepts our storm.
00:53This forces the storm's circulation to tighten rapidly, turning this from any other supercell into a powerhouse capable of producing
01:01intense tornadoes.
01:04Oh my gosh.
01:05We might be about to get a tornado here, guys.
01:07Tight, tight signature on radar.
01:09I think we're about to get a tornado.
01:10I'm gonna stop here real quick.
01:11I gotta look at our roads.
01:13We might have to go back to that road.
01:15We might have to go back to that road right behind us.
01:17Tornado on the ground.
01:18There it is.
01:19Oh my gosh.
01:21Strong tornado.
01:28Incredible tornado here.
01:31Oh my gosh.
01:34You gotta be kidding me right now.
01:36Look at the hole.
01:37We don't want to get underneath the tornado cyclone.
01:43It is right here!
01:50This is one of the most insane things I've ever seen.
01:54I can't believe I'm looking at this right now.
01:59Guys, if that doesn't deserve a like, I don't know what does.
02:07Oh my gosh.
02:09Here it goes.
02:10Rope out.
02:11We're sitting underneath it.
02:16It's laying again.
02:18We're sitting underneath the rope.
02:20There's no way.
02:22And it's about to disappear.
02:26This tornado was not a quitter.
02:28This tornado was not a quitter.
02:31Now it might officially have broke down.
02:33Alright.
02:34Time to reposition.
02:36Time to reposition.
02:37Oh my gosh.
02:40After this incredible tornado lifts, the storm begins to cycle as it sheds its old circulation
02:45and makes way for a new and even stronger one just to my southeast.
02:50Alright.
02:51We got a road up here.
02:52I gotta take it south.
02:54Cause this thing could do it again.
02:56Unfortunately for me, softball sized hail is currently falling on the road I was going
03:01to take to get me back into position.
03:03I don't know if we want to go east here though.
03:05Cause we got like this monster hail core.
03:07If we go east here we might just get...
03:11Frustrated with that realization, I find an alternate route that takes me further south
03:15on a rural gravel road.
03:17Hopefully this is an okay road here.
03:19This frustrating decision proves to be very consequential as you'll soon find out.
03:26At 7.06pm, I spot a new tornado developing just a couple miles to my east.
03:34Yeah, big tornado coming down, huge funnel.
03:36This one can be violent on us just looking at radar.
03:39I mean just how much cape we have, this might be a very powerful tornado.
03:44Yep, there it is on the ground guys.
03:46On the ground.
03:47Oh, it's violent.
03:48Yep, we already got violent vortices and then multiple vortex.
03:51This is the beginning of the Holley, Texas EF3 tornado.
03:57Oh, it's going to mud here.
04:01We got a road right here.
04:03What does she look like?
04:04We're just going to take her anyway.
04:05Who cares?
04:07Holy smokes.
04:09This is going to be one for the books guys.
04:14This is an incredible tornado.
04:18That's strong.
04:19That's very strong.
04:22As I now have a great vantage point of the intensifying tornado,
04:26I'm not the only one watching as the Lamberts, Casey and Wes, along with their two kids,
04:317-year-old Lane and 4-year-old Allie, are inside their home watching it from their front door.
04:55You come on.
04:58Even though the tornado appears to be moving away, the Lamberts still decide to take cover and grab their two
05:05dogs, Millie and Scout,
05:06before heading for their closet located in the center of their home.
05:10Meanwhile, just to their west, I'm closing in on the tornado as I move in for a close range intercept.
05:18Hold on, side window, please.
05:22If we go a little bit here, I think we can get out of the trees.
05:25Let's just try it.
05:26We can run away if we have to.
05:29Gotta get this shot.
05:31Oh my gosh, it's right in there.
05:32Alright, we're gonna point it.
05:34Here?
05:38Yep.
05:39Oh, it's coming at us.
05:41It might be coming at us.
05:45Yeah.
05:47You gotta get ready to run.
05:50You gotta get ready to frickin' run.
05:52It's coming at us.
05:57Time to run.
05:59Time to run, it's coming right at us.
06:02I cannot believe what I'm witnessing right now.
06:05Yeah, and I can't believe that it's coming right at me, so we gotta go.
06:08Instead of continuing southeast, the tornado suddenly makes a hard right turn and is now heading south-southwest, putting me
06:16in a dangerous spot.
06:18So I decided to retreat back west.
06:21Meanwhile, back at the Lambert's home, Wes has stepped back outside to keep an eye on the tornado.
06:26He also notices the tornado's change in direction, and it's now headed straight for them.
06:33Let's get out of the way here real quick to make sure we're out of the path of this thing.
06:44Oh, violent tornado!
06:46It just hit a house, I think.
06:48Oh my gosh, there's debris everywhere.
06:50There's debris everywhere.
06:55Oh my gosh, please don't be hitting something.
07:02Holy!
07:08As the tornado slowly passes to my east, it crosses County Road 458 and begins to enter the Lambert's Field,
07:16just a couple hundred yards away from their home.
07:19Alright, we might need to get a little closer now.
07:22This is a scary tornado to chase because it's moving so slow, it can be very erratic.
07:27I just want to exercise caution.
07:34Alright.
07:38Alright, brother.
07:41Alright, brother, go. Go!
07:56There comes the debris, gotta watch the poles. Gotta watch the poles. Gotta watch the poles.
08:04Gotta watch the poles.
08:08As I pull into the Lambert's driveway, I unknowingly capture the final moments of their home as they're about to
08:15experience the full force of this monster tornado.
08:29Absolute violent tornado.
08:32Just violent.
08:35Right here.
08:38Gotta get ready to back up.
08:40It comes at us.
08:48Gotta get ready to back up if it comes back toward us.
08:51Gotta get ready to back up if it comes back toward us.
08:58I think we're good, though.
09:13Yeah, if you guys are near a Holley, Texas right now, take cover.
09:16This is a violent tornado.
09:19Absolute just grinder.
09:20Look at the full...
09:22Listen to it.
09:29...
10:03Wow.
10:23Yeah.
10:25Now this is an insane intercept.
10:39It just struck some of my gashers.
10:42I gotta make sure it didn't hit a house.
10:51Noticing the scattered debris, I first assumed the tornado had struck a couple of outbuildings
10:56as very little remained of the damaged structures.
11:00However, this is when something catches my eye.
11:03A white Chevy Tahoe, something you don't just leave sitting in the middle of a field,
11:09is laying right next to a pile of rubble.
11:11This is when it dawns on me that a house may have been struck by the tornado.
11:44Please tell me to not just hit a house here.
11:50Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh.
11:53There's people, there's people.
12:03Get in.
12:04Get in the car.
12:05Get in the car.
12:06Please, God help.
12:07Open the door.
12:08Get in.
12:08Hurry.
12:08Come on, guys.
12:10Get in the other side.
12:11Other side.
12:12Other side.
12:13Come on.
12:14Come on.
12:14Come on.
12:15Please, please get us.
12:16I need your phone.
12:17I've got to call my mom.
12:18Right here.
12:19Right here.
12:19Get in.
12:19Get in.
12:20Get in.
12:21I know.
12:22Look at me.
12:23Look at me.
12:23I've got to look where you're bleeding, okay?
12:25Look at me.
12:26We've got to get to the hospital.
12:27Lydia, do you know where the nearest hospital is?
12:29Hey, let me get that dog.
12:30Where's the dog?
12:31Where's the dog?
12:31Where's the dog?
12:33Come on, Bill.
12:34Bill.
12:34Hey.
12:35Come on, everybody.
12:35Billy, come on.
12:36Billy, come on.
12:37Come on.
12:38Billy.
12:39Billy.
12:40Holy shit.
12:41Go, guys, go.
12:47I've got a storm chaser here.
12:48I've got.
12:49Okay, man.
12:50You've got to get us out of the hospital.
12:51I need a dabble.
12:52I've got injured people in my car right now.
12:54Don't get in the mud.
12:55I'll try not to.
12:56Don't get in the mud.
12:56You'll get set.
12:57Oh, shit.
12:58Yeah.
13:00Okay, well, I love you.
13:01I'll make this very quick.
13:02Okay, we're okay.
13:03I've got injured people in my car right now.
13:06Okay, where?
13:06There's a tornado here.
13:09Where are we at, guys?
13:10Hodges.
13:11Hodges, Texas.
13:12Hodges, Texas.
13:13What?
13:14In this moment, I could not believe this family survived the tornado.
13:18I mean, just look at their house.
13:20It just did not make sense.
13:22But I had no time to process this as I knew.
13:25Even though they survived, their injuries were most likely life-threatening.
13:29And I knew that I had to get them to the hospital as soon as possible.
13:34Okay, can you...
13:35Okay, and what kind of injuries do they have?
13:37What kind of injuries are you talking about?
13:38Kinder-age children with head injuries.
13:40Okay, we've got young children here with head injuries.
13:43They're dealing with a broken hand.
13:45Broken hands.
13:45Broken hands.
13:46Broken everything.
13:47Okay.
13:48Broken everything.
13:49Okay, if one of you guys could get me.
13:51I've got to figure out why you're bleeding from Lane.
13:52I've got to get the blood pressure.
13:54Okay, I can barely hear you.
13:55Okay.
13:55Hold, hold Allie.
13:57Do you have a phone?
13:58Can you...
13:58I've got to get...
13:59Where's the hospital, guys?
14:00Turn right.
14:01Turn right.
14:01Turn right.
14:01Okay.
14:02Lane, you've got to keep talking to me.
14:04I'm lost.
14:05No, you're not here.
14:06Tell me.
14:08Subaru Crosstrek.
14:09White.
14:09Can you grab the dog?
14:10Can you grab the dog here?
14:12You've got to put pressure on it.
14:12Okay, what's going on?
14:14I'll just hold all of the dogs.
14:15I'll take it.
14:15I'm sorry.
14:17Put pressure on it.
14:18Please.
14:18He's hurting me.

14:36Get in right there.
14:37Take a breath.
14:38Get in right there.
14:40Take a breath.
14:41Got it.
14:42As Casey and Wes direct me to the hospital, our route takes us right next to the tornado
14:47as it's still ongoing just to our south.
14:52All right.
14:52You guys are going to be okay.
14:53I'm so sorry.
14:54I'm spitting in your car.
14:55Yes, sir.
14:56No.
14:56I don't know your name.
14:57My name's Freddie.
14:58What's your name?

15:06Okay.
15:06Lelaine, I need to breathe.
15:08Okay.
15:09What's the next?
15:10Hit the tree line right where that tornado's at.
15:12You've got to go left.
15:13Okay.
15:13Gotcha.
15:14Hopefully the trail's not coming this way.
15:16Give me.
15:17Please.
15:18Okay.
15:18Turn left here, correct?
15:19Yes, correct.
15:19Okay.
15:20You've got about a two-mile highway stretch and then you've run into...
15:23Turn left.
15:27You're okay, Lelaine.
15:28You're okay.
15:28You're okay.
15:28I know, baby.
15:31Answer your phone.
15:32Please answer your phone.
15:3310 minutes.
15:34Bill, are you okay?
15:41I'm sorry.
15:42I'm sorry.
15:42I'm sorry that you're not being able to go.
15:42I see that car that just went north or southbound.
15:45Oh, they drive.
15:47Do I take it south?
15:49Yes.
15:50Okay.
15:51Take it right and slide around.
15:52Okay.
15:52Oh, my gosh.
15:54He's okay.
15:55He's awake.
15:55He's awake.
15:56He's awake.
15:56You've got to put pressure on it.
16:01I've got it.
16:02It's on his head.
16:05Is it on this road from the hospital?
16:07Yeah.
16:08Okay.
16:12Okay.
16:13Right now.
16:14You guys are rock stars, man.
16:18I can't get anybody to get to the phone.
16:21It's okay.
16:22It's okay.
16:22I lost Scout.
16:23Wes, she's gone.
16:25I know.
16:26It's going to be okay.
16:29Natalie, are you okay?
16:30I'm doing it.
16:30Buddy.
16:31I'm getting in there, buddy.
16:32Come on, dude.
16:32You're doing a great job.
16:33I know, son.
16:37Just be careful.
16:38I got you.
16:39Okay, I'm going to make it to the hospital.
16:40I'm making it.
16:41I'm good, but I got it.
16:42I got it.
16:42I can't get a hold of anybody.
16:44Dad?
16:45Yeah.
16:46You okay, Pete?
16:48Yeah, I'm taking these guys to the hospital right now.
16:51Yeah, do you want us to end the stream?
16:54Uh, yeah.
16:54Go ahead and end the stream for me, please.
16:56Okay.
16:56You are?
16:58This guy, I already forgot his name.
17:00Right here.
17:00Right here.
17:00He's going to take care of us.
17:02Okay, maybe again.
17:03Okay, thanks, Dad.
17:05Okay, get out of the way.
17:06Honk at him or something.
17:07Yeah.
17:16I'm not going to be able to go as fast here, because I don't want to see.
17:19Okay, you're okay.
17:20You're doing a great job.
17:20I've got to keep you guys alive, alright?
17:22Yeah, you're doing great.
17:27How are the kids doing?
17:28They're doing good.
17:30They're tough, man.
17:31They're the toughest kids ever.
17:32They're the toughest kids ever.
17:33Yeah, the toughest people I've ever made.
17:35What was that?
17:36Like in the F-4?
17:37Probably the F-4.
17:40It was a very strong tornado.
17:42There's a police officer right there.
17:43Of course it's concrete.
17:44No, no, no.
17:44I know, I know, I know.
17:45You're not good, not good, not good, not good.
17:49Be sure to get their contact information so we can support them.
17:55Yes, dude.
17:55You good?
17:56You good?
18:02Yeah, I'm okay.
18:03See that H to the right?
18:05H to the right.
18:06Yeah, keep going.
18:07Yep, yep, yep.
18:08Keep going.
18:12I'll deal with the officer.
18:13No.
18:14No, he's good, he's good.
18:15This gentleman will hand me.
18:16I know he's trying to pull me over, but he's okay.
18:18There you go.
18:19Sir, I'm going to have to leave the dog in the car.
18:23Nope, stop.
18:24Where's the dog?
18:25Keep going straight.
18:26Keep going straight, got it.
18:32They're here.
18:34They're here.
18:34Where are that officers?
18:36Okay, baby.
18:37These doctors are going to help y'all, okay?
18:40Don't be scared.
18:41They're going to help you guys.
18:43Okay?
18:43Help.
18:44Help.
18:44Help us out, please.
18:47We just got hit by a tornado.
18:49Get the kids.
18:49Help us out.
18:50Get a gurney.
18:51Get them in there.
18:51Get us some gurneys.
18:52Get the kids.
18:58I'm not hurt.
18:59I'm fine.
19:02Hey, it's okay, buddy.
19:04It's okay.
19:05It's okay.
19:06I'm just going to park right here.
19:09I just got this dog now, so.
19:12Oh, honey.
19:13What a dick.
19:16Yeah, that was crazy.
19:22That was actually pretty crazy.
19:26As I sit in the hospital parking lot, I stay with her dog Millie until Casey's sister Callie is able
19:32to come pick her up.
19:33With no word on the Lambert's condition, I have to wait until the following morning before finally receiving an update.
19:43Miraculously, all four of them are discharged from the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
19:49An absolute miracle and a true testament to the heroic actions of Casey and Wes as they did everything in
19:56their power to protect their kids from the tornado.
19:59Nowadays, the Lambert's have been doing much better as they've been hard at work rebuilding their lives.
20:05However, they still have a ways to go.
20:07So please consider donating to their GoFundMe linked in the description down below.
