00:00There's nothing scarier than a game which isn't meant to be creepy being creepy. One instance of
00:06this has haunted my dream since I was a kid and it comes from The Sims 2. Now, I'm not
00:11saying
00:11The Sims franchise isn't creepy in parts, there's actually a lot of freaky lore in the games,
00:17but I'm not sure this particular thing was meant to freak me and many other players out as much as
00:23it did. We all know Sims have needs that you have to meet to keep them happy. Hunger, energy,
00:28bladder, etc. But the important one for this creepy thing is social. If you're a big sims fan,
00:34you probably know where I'm going with this. In The Sims 2, if your sim's social level gets too low,
00:39a new friend will join their life for a temporary time. That is, until you fix their social level.
00:45That new friend is a social bunny. Isn't he cute? Gosh, I just love that gaping eye socket. Oh,
00:58unlike the sad clown, the social bunny is only visible to the sim that is hallucinating.
01:03Meaning, if you click on another sim in your household, you may see that low social level
01:07sim either talking to themselves, or even kissing or fighting with thin air.
01:12These guys creeped me the hell out as a kid, mostly because one appeared out of seemingly nowhere in
01:17my home and I had no idea what it was. I genuinely thought my game was cursed. Did you find
01:23the social
01:23bunny just as spooky, or did you think he was cute in a sort of face only a mother could
01:28love kind of way?
