00:00attract bees and butterflies to your garden this summer with this container planting recipe
00:08so the first thing you're going to need is a container all right so we're going to fill it
00:14quite full now with some fresh potting compost
00:19all right let's have a look at the plants that we've got so this is a scabius or scabiosa and
00:26it's also known as a pin cushion flower and bees and butterflies absolutely adore scabia it's got
00:33a flat top which allows them to land on it really easily so that's why they they really like it
00:39and
00:39it attracts a lot of them the next plant we're going to add in is a perennial wallflower it's
00:46got these beautiful lilacs sort of fading to orange flowers and it's actually really beautifully
00:53scented as well bees adore it so let's get this one in all of these plants will actually grow
01:00quite a lot taller and lastly we have got a classic lavender now this lavender is not in flower yet
01:08but it will be quite soon and when it is the bees will flock to it because they absolutely love
01:13lavender great these are actually such a perfect fit
01:19okay don't water this until you have placed it where you want it to go because if you do that
01:25now
01:25it will be really heavy to carry so put it in situ first and then give it a water keep

01:31watered all through the summer and watch and enjoy as the birds and butterflies arrive
