00:00Rows of carefully planted flowers, colourful displays and meaningful messages are set to transform the East Lawn at Sefton Park's
00:09Palm House.
00:10For the first time, the historic venue is hosting a collection of community-created show gardens, bringing together ten organisations
00:18from across the Liverpool City region.
00:21The project forms part of celebrations marking 25 years since the Palm House reopened following major renovations.
00:29According to the Palm House, the gardens have been designed around themes, including education, health and well-being, environmental action
00:37and community growth.
00:39Each plot measures two by three metres and has been created by children, volunteers, service users and local residents.
00:47The gardens are intended not only to reflect the work of the organisations behind them, but also wider themes of
00:53hope, collaboration, remembrance, recovery and resilience.
00:57Kate Martinez, Head of Visitors and Communities at Sefton Park Palm House, says that the project reflects the organisation's commitment

01:08She says the impact of nature on health and well-being is central to the Palm House's work.
01:12The show gardens will remain on display for visitors between the 10th and 21st of June and form part of
