01:19and you hit that thing at 40 miles an hour there's really nowhere to go and it flipped the booth
01:24around the force of that that's not the way the proof was originally she was originally hit head on
01:30the way the booth was originally set up for the impact that spun the booth around and we had obviously
01:36you're under headquarters here like guards were here in a matter of seconds to perform cpr and everything
01:43they could do and there was just nothing that could be done for injuries or that's a view that massive
01:48what were the conditions on the beach at the time there were other people that were in the area
01:52there were other people in the area you know and if you really want to want to say this
01:55you know it's how only one person got killed you know once he turns and goes southbound on that
02:01beach once he turns and goes southbound on the beach or northbound beach you have all those other
02:05beach goers out there and i think that's one of the fears is if somebody gets up here
02:09drunk or intentional and decides to run somebody down there's not a hell of a whole lot can get

02:23time county employee she recently switched over when the toll takers went over to a private company
02:28she went over with them i mean who would think when you're standing up here that my life is going

02:39live in you know and if this was a saturday afternoon this was just past weekend how many
02:45other people could have been carried or injured one of these things the suspects particular name i'm

03:24ocean and then turns to try to go southbound she gets stuck as she's going southbound and a bunch
03:30of people run out and get her out of the car is what we're being told this is maybe not

03:35that you know not having beach driving still this way but that's always a conversation that's
03:39up again and things like this happen so what's your message i i don't know how you get blamed i

03:45know anything about beach driving all i can tell you is you got somebody at 40 miles an hour coming
03:50across that intersection and slams into the booth it could have slammed into somebody crossing the street
03:55here it could have slammed into the room of another car could have slammed into a bicyclist
03:59we could have slammed into anything clearly the person was driving way too fast and what was the
04:04reason for that we're going to find out it seems like that the truck is quite a waste difference between

04:11and there and there and i looked didn't seem like she tried to stop it off from what we're
04:16preliminary gathering she tried to drive away she tried to drive south and got stuck because the tide
04:24was higher than it is right now that's according to the people who pulled her out of the truck
04:29is she on local yes she's from mormon beach and sheriff did she have any criminal district no i don't
04:35know that yet
04:35i don't know that's it to go talk to her granddaughter i mean you know the woman is the matriarch

04:49family you know that's the that's the person they go to tammy joe's house for the holiday just the
04:54people they go to for advice and and and something is innocuous is coming here to take tolls and you're
04:59dead dead for what really for why you know it's just senseless and it's just it's just disturbing it's
05:07really disturbing and senseless to think of that but she came to work like she's done for how many
05:11years how many decades i think and this is how you end your life we're estimating preliminarily
05:19estimating at least three miles an hour at the time of impact again this is all preliminary those guys
05:25have to do crush damage you have all the other something i mean their traffic cameras right there that we

05:29not downloaded yet so my last game um the response people kind of stepping in when they knew that this

05:39going on to try to help people i think that's one of the great things about living in this community
05:44you know people jump right into action when they see something they're going to call mine will want to do
05:49what they need to do and i think you see it over and over and over again i can't speak

05:53community but this one you know it's the fact that they were able to get to her as quickly
05:58as quickly as they can again her injuries were so massive that there was any chance that cpr anything
06:04could save her life any kind of first aid it was being done and the fact that they made sure

06:09couldn't get away you know mother nature helping the fact that the truck sank you know again hypothetically
06:14devil's advocate suppose it is low tide and she gets on that beach where's the next place to get off

06:18it's way down there if you can even get off and how about all the other people that would be

06:23they're like they're going to be in danger because of that
