00:17It's been a long, long weekend for me, and I'm going to start my weekend's best, Clint Tyler.
00:25My weekend's best is to my daughter Lauren and her softball team and all the parents that were out there
00:34at Camp Ciena this weekend.
00:37This was a huge tournament, and it was so hot, so hot, and shout out to Lowe.
00:47Lowe caught in every game.
00:49She was the primary catcher.
00:51She had to take a couple innings off over two days.
00:56They played eight games over two days, and she caught every one of the games, and it was, in that
01:03equipment, it never slowed up.
01:05I'm talking day one, we were there from, she was there from 7.15 to almost 5.
01:12Just rolling, playing Sunday, came out from about 10 to about 3 or 4 o'clock.
01:19And shout out to all the girls, it was hot, hot out there, and they were all playing.
01:25I don't know of that Dynasty team out there, shout out to them, they ended up winning.
01:28They came out of the loser's bracket and won the hard way.
01:30Clint, they played, I think they played four straight games, no break.
01:36In that heat?
01:37In that heat, four straight.
01:39Because they were in the loser's bracket, they had to just keep, they had to keep going and keep playing.
01:43So, shout out to them, but it was a lot of fun.
01:49But it was really, really hot, and that was, hell, about game 6, 7, 8 of the weekend, it was
01:57more about endurance.
01:59And those girls were really having to fight through to stay focused.

02:30But catching in this heat for kids in tournaments that are, they're playing multiple games, that is, that is, that
02:38is brutal.

02:39I mean, that is absolutely brutal.

02:58and parents suffering through that heat, boy.

03:29Well, I'm going to kind of stay in that lane right there.
03:31Look, I think the men's and women's college World Series, or, um, you know,
03:36at least the, the, just men's and women's college softball and baseball is, um,
03:42is, is worth the ticket, man.
03:44It's, it's worth watching.
03:46Obviously, I'm watching my hogs and your Hawks this weekend.
03:49Your Hawks got the better of my hogs, which is rare on the diamond, man.
03:53My hogs are, I mean, they, they got knocked off twice by the Hawks, but they're throwing
03:58beer on each other out in the bleachers or heated out in the bleachers.
04:01And when I say shout out to, to college baseball and college softball, it's more about the drama,
04:06but it's, it's, it's beautiful to me.
04:08It's just, it, you, you look at, in, in the, uh, college baseball, uh, the Georgia kid,
04:13which I think it was yesterday, hits the bomb and gets, gets kicked out of the game
04:16because of all of his dance, all of his, uh, the, the, the celebrating he's doing as he rounds the
04:20bases.
04:21I don't care to get into whether it was, it was, it was, it was, should have happened or not.
04:25I'm just talking about the, the hype and the, and the attention on the game itself.
04:29And then you flip over to the other side of it, the, the, the, the softball world.
04:34And even before the softball world series, it started a week or so ago with the Florida
04:39and the Texas tech with Jason Williams, kid, uh, Mia Williams, who's a hell of a player.
04:43That drama, uh, the fan base is going back and forth and parents dog cussing each other
04:49and police having to get involved.
04:51Um, you know, apparently there was a Tennessee and Texas tech little, uh, uh, you know,
04:56one of the girls transferred from Tennessee over to Texas tech.
04:58Well, Texas tech beat Tennessee.
04:59So the coach had something to say.
05:01Uh, so the drama off the field, I think is, is the hype is, is, uh, the attention is, is
05:07fun to watch.
05:08I'm fascinated with it.
05:09And then I'm going to tell you just some love to another, to a, to a school here in
05:13the state of Texas, man, Texas tech.
05:15I don't care how you did it.
05:17Um, in terms of, of buying players and getting these all Americans to transfer in a, I ain't
05:22gonna blame nobody for in, in the, the, what college sports is nowadays for taking
05:26advantage of it.
05:27Hey man, good for you.
05:28But Texas tech, man, they, they played UCLA who UCLA is actually a powerhouse typically
05:34in, in college softball.
05:36Uh, and they outlasted UCLA winning in nine innings, eight to seven.
05:40But the way in which they won, um, was, well, you know, they got the million dollar pitcher
05:44that, that came in late after this, this gal, Caitlin Terry.
05:47Um, she put on a show, a little lefty that can absolutely spin it.
05:52Um, I mean, it, it was from the drama off the field to the drama with the players versus
05:59coaches that are transferring with these high paid players to the actual product on the
06:03field.
06:03It was, uh, it was a good weekend for, for baseball and softball.
06:08It was, yeah.
06:09The crowds have been great.
06:10Uh, my weekend's worse.
