00:00NVIDIA, the world's most valuable company, making a major push into the PC market with what they're
00:06describing as a super chip. CEO Jensen Huang unveiling the RTX Spark super chip, which will
00:14combine a microprocessor and a graphics processor or GPU, which will run on Microsoft's Windows
00:21system. This is not the first time that NVIDIA has made a push into the markets of laptops and
00:27desktops. They did this a little over a decade ago to very little success, but this time it's
00:33different. They have a massive balance sheet, supply chain control, and they have deep relationships
00:38across the tech ecosystem. And this puts them head to head then in terms of rivalry with the likes of
00:44Intel, AMD, Qualcomm, and yes, Apple. The proposition from NVIDIA is this, you will be able to run the
00:50most sophisticated AI models on your laptop, which can be thinner and lighter because the chips
00:57powering that device will be more efficient and more powerful. That at least is the pitch. NVIDIA's
01:03CEO calling the Spark super chip the start of a PC sector shakeup that may rival the advent of the
01:12smartphone.
