Bulli High School year eight student Nate Salzon explains the shark bite kits that he and his classmates have raised money to install at northern Wollongong beaches.

00:00The shark bite kits, they're for an emergency if you get bitten by a shark.
00:05So they have everything that you need to stop the bleeding and hopefully survive.
00:10In the kits they have all the instructions on how to use a tourniquet
00:14and they've got bandages and a whistle to attract attention.
00:17They're basically just all you need just to stop the bleeding.
00:22I want to put the shark bite kits at unpatrolled beaches where it's really isolated,
00:26where there's like a trek into the beach.
